#Throwback2014: The Year of the #MakeUpTransformation

The year 2014 is also a year where the so-called Make-Up Transformation becomes a trending topic. Most of the netizens made their own version of  this trending craze where they transformed themselves to a celebrity after applying a make-up. They posted their version on Instagram making the topic as a worldwide-web craze.   

Make-Up Transformation evolves into variety of versions based on the creativity of the person. Well, yours truly didn't left behind with this trending topic. I myself had made my own versions of it. And here are my three version:

The Top 14 Hashtags of My 2014: The 14 Highlights of My Year #2014YearEnder

  

Hashtags were really trending topics in 2014. And yours truly honestly admits that I am a hashtag fanatic as I use this as many as I want specially in my Instagram posts. Therefore, my 2014 yearender will then revolve to hashtags!   

Yes, there are 14 Hashtags  which correspond to the Top 14 highlights of my year. If I were to assess my 2014, definitely it was not a good year for me specially in terms of my lovelife. It ruined my heart affecting my life! But then, there were also some good things that happened to me during this year. Therefore, those good and those bad collided - let's count the good, the blessings and let's learn from the not so good things!

So ladies and gentlemen, here is the list of the Top 14 Hashtags, the 14 Highlights of My 2014:

14.) #REVELATION:

  

- Taking the No. 14 spot is the #Revelation. 2014 was truly full of pasabog! If you are watching a teleserye, #AlamNa the secrets! This was the year when majority of the minds were enlighten, clues were verified, and question marks turned to dots.   

It was an end-to-end moment where yours truly was crying in the beginning of the year for one person and cried again at the end of the year for another person! It was January when I cried and revealed to a friend (the same day when Angel Locsin cried during The Legal Wife's presscon at the presence of the media revealing the reason of her breakup with Phil Younghusband and revealing that she still inlove with Luis Manzano) about my heart problem. And in December, another similar situation took place but that time, it was for another person. "San ka pa, tinalo ang mga iyakan sa pinapanood mong telenobela!"  

13.) #R2 / #R2R /  #RR

 - That means Reunion and Reconciliation. Yes, I had two reunions with friends this 2014 after so many years. The first one was in January wherein I was reunited with my college friends and school publication's editors during the wedding of my college bestfriend. That was also the time when reconciliation took place. Me and my college rival finally reconciled and became friends again!      

The second reunion took place in March. This time, it was with my elementary classmates. It was actually an unplanned reunion. But the best thing that happened to me during that time, I met someone, a friend of my elementary friend whom became an apple of my eyes for a short period of time! #Dati, a song from Sam Concepcion and Tippy Dos Santos as our theme song. #KE

12.) #Eventology

- Ops, my events were leveled up to a higher level this year. This was the year wherein I handled major events where yours truly was the major organizer. These events were the "Fun with Philip" Show Launch, Tambayan Sa Kanto Food Trip, "The Country Wife" Celebrity Preview, and Hanz Cua Feng Shui 2015 Presscon.        

What more, I even had my first time to be a full-length program host / master of ceremony during the very first get-together of 'Marnolo,' the love team / tandem of PBB's Maris Racal and Manolo Pedrosa. #Kota! Hmmm... "host din pala ako ng Fun with Philip at Tambayan Sa Kanto Food Trip...Hehe!"   

Other events this year also paved way for me to meet the celebrities whom I never yet meet before like James Reid, Judy Ann Santos, Jean Garcia, and Daniel Matsunaga including the international artists and YouTube sensations namely Kurt Hugo Scheneider and Sam Tsui. I'll write a separate post for this! 

The FHM Sexiest Women 2014 Show was also a significant event for me this year. First, this was my very first time to attend this show; second, I had reconciled with a friend whom I got a misunderstanding; third, we became close again with my former love; and fourth, I met someone here! #ArKi!       

Awards nights were also significant things during this year. Aside from that star-starry events with the brightest stars, shift of feelings from one person to another took place!

In 2014, I've Cried for Two Persons

11.) #iWitness

 - Literally, I witnessed crimes and holdups in bus twice! Yes, since I was assigned to a midshift schedule starting in March, I had witnessed two bus crimes while going home at 2am. The first one was an actual holdup wherein two thieves went up the bus with a gun and got the bags of the passengers. Thanks God, I was safe and my bag was not collected!   

The second crime was a bloody one wherein the conductor hit the head of the mistaken holdapper with his icepick. Blood flowing on the bus! Still thanking God since I was also safe and sound after the incident.

In addition to this, September 2014 when my Samsung Galaxy S3 cellphone was snatched from me while riding in the jeepney. The snatcher was outside the jeep and got my mobile when I was texting during the heavy traffic! Running mode in me was on "nung hinabol ko pa talaga 'ung snatcher sa kalsada at wala akong paki sa mga rumaragang sasakyan!" I've stopped chasing him when he entered the dark side of the eskinita! #IShoweredWithCoco  pa-more! Tsk...tsk...tsk!   

10.) #TMWattpad

- 2014 was also the year when I started to a write a novel in the famous Wattpad. And yes, that was based on a true-to-life story! I already finished up to Chapter 7 of the book. But since I was too busy with my different commitments, the novel was not yet completed. 

I am targeting that the story will be putted on the big screen with Dennis Trillo  and Tom Rodriguez as the lead casts. Big good luck to me! #TomDen the movie!    

9.) #TravelExplore

 - Travels, outings, and viajes were all the way in 2014! I had traveled to four different places around the country this year - Private resort in Laguna (March 1) for Team Building, Company Team Outing in Zubic Pampanga (April), Nagsasa (May) Barkada trip, and Puerto Gallera Escapade (November) courtesy of #MetroBlogger.     

These four travels were put on the limelight since each moment in these trips were trending! "Sino ang makakalimot sa pinag-usapan talagang company outing?!" #GuardiaSibil #GuardianAngel #AsongSunudnangSunod #DaigPaAngAsawa! How about the greatest Wedding-like moments in March 1? "Eh kamusta naman ang mga rebelasyon sa Nagsasa?! But most of all, I've experienced the S*x on Beach! "Ang sarap pala!" Hehe... #adventure

8.) #Groupie

 - I became part of the different groups this year. Well aside from the blogging community, I then became an official member of the prestige and elite running group, the Team Run Direction or TRD #TRD.   

In the company perspective, "ayun oh, tatlong grupo ang dinaanan ko!" #Astig 

Glad also to become part of the MetroBlogger team. I've enjoyed their company specially during our Puerto Gallera trekking and escapades!   

I also met new faces and new friends this year. One of them turns to be my so-called protege. #BFF #barbeque 

7.) #1KIG

 - Meaning, "1,000 followers in Instagram." Finally, I've achieved my target goal of reaching 1K followers in Instagram! "Isang libo lang ang hiniling ko," but at the end of the year, I even got 1,358 total followers! Wow! So thankful for this. I really appreciated my fans and supporters for making it happen although some stupid people laughed at me saying "araw-araw na lang puro mukha ko daw ang nakikita at pina-flood sila!" #WalangBasaganNgTrip! 

6.) #AkiChua

 - "Aki Chua ma-iinsecure na ba ako sa'yo dahil mas nakilala ka pa kesa kay Rocky Batara?" Yes, that name eventually rose in fame. And yours truly is now more identified as Aki (the screen name) rather than the real Rocky!

A cool story in one of the events I have attended just happened this year. Two participants got confused if the person with them was Aki or Rocky. "At nagtalo pa talaga sila ha - hindi si Aki 'yan (one said). No, it's Rocky (the other said)" "Kambal ba sina Aki at Rocky, bakit magkamukha?!"

5.) #TheMerman

- This was one of the coolest and most adventurous things I've done this year! Well since mermaids and mermen were so famous and trending this year because of ABS-CBN's TV series adaptation of Mars Ravelo's "Dyesebel,"  yours truly was also turned into a hot merman with a blue tail! "Ayun on, kinabog si Sam Milby who is playing the merman Liro in the TV series!"

And take note, my swimming instructor during this moment was a Mario Maurer-Kalokalike merman! Ayos!

Being a merman then turned to be as one of my most remarkable roles I've played so far! #sireno #merman


4.) #RunnerRocky

- 2014 was also the birth year of my newest baby blog named Runner Rocky! He was born in November and now turning three-month old. "Since nakahiligan kong tumakbo at maging runner, ayun nadala hanggang sa blog!"

Runner Rocky is also my very first blog with a .com domain name! From www.runnerrocky.blogspot.com, Runner Rocky now turns to www.runnerrocky.com.

This blog will also be my entry to the 2015 Emerging Influential Blog.


3.) #Friendzoned

- I don't want to explain this item further. Well, please watch the movie of Kim Chiu  and Xian Lim called "Past Tense" for the details. Anyways, we had watched that film together. 

#KimXi also played a vital role in my love stories in 2014. Their movie "Bride for Rent" in January which opened the year was related to me. On the other hand, their movie "Past Tense" in December which ended the year was also related to me! "Ano ba yan?!" #EndToEnd #MakeandBreak #TwoTimesThePain

2.) #Run

- 2014 was the year of the run for me! Definitely, this was the year when I started to run and got addicted with it! The addiction started in May when I failed to run a 5K in AmCham ScholaRun because I was late in the event. I got frustrated. Therefore, I joined a 21K category in World Vision Run 2014. Yes, 21 Kilometer was my very first run! "Eh pinagpustahan pa nga ako ng mga ka-officemates ko eh! Walang tiwala sa kakayahan ko! Porke ba di sinasadyang makatakbo sa 5K di na kayang tumakbo ng 21K?" As per their judgmental minds, I need to surpass a 3 hour for 21K. But what I've got, 2 hours and 48 minutes for my first 21K run! Thanks God!   

After the World Vision Run "ayun sunud-sunod na", I then joined different major marathons every month like the Run Fest 2014 (June), Fun Run with the Stars (June), 38TH Milo Marathon (July), Sofitel Manila Half-Marathon (August), Energizer Night Race (September), Rexona Run to Your Beat (October), Run United Philippine Marathon (October), New Balance Power Run (November), Men's Health Urbanathlon (November), and AffiniTea Brown Race (December).      

And as mentioned above, running then paved way for the birth of my running and fitness blog which is the Runner Rocky and took me to be part of the elite running group which is the Team Run Direction (TRD).

1.) #Micky / #MicCky

- And this took the No. 1 spot in my 2014! Well, I don't anymore want to elaborate this further. Just read between the lines! This took my year by storm! It was a trending topic almost every day, in almost all of the occasions! #rcbc

And that is the list of my Top 14 of my 2014. Agree?! Those things turned my year upside down! They made and broke me at the same time! They built and ruined me one after another!

In addition to those mentioned above, 2014 was also the year when I passed my second Software Certification which is the PSM or the Professional Scrum Master last July 2014. "Partida pa ha, may pinagdadaanan ako ng kinuha ko ang exam na 'yan! And muntik pa akong mapagbayad ng company ng worth $200 dahil  mali ang nakuha kong exam 'nung una, PO  instead of PSM ang na-take ko. Buti na lang, pinaulit uli sa tamang exam." "Ano ba, ang layo ng 'O' sa 'M'," one of my teammates commented when I took the wrong exam! Thanks God at naipasa ko pa din!  

Now I have two certifications - the first one was the ISTQB or the International Software Testing Qualification Board which I took in 2012 and the second one was this Professional Scrum Master title!

WATCH: The Three Heartfelt "Kwentong Jollibee Valentines Series" 2017 Short Films

It is always the tradition of the leading Pinoy Food Chain brand Jollibee to showcase their products via short films touching the hearts of the Filipinos. And as part of their tradition inline with the month of the hearts, this year, Jollibee created three heartfelt short film TV commercials that truly became viral and trending in the world wide web. 

The three short film TVCs are entitled "Vow," "Crush," and "Date." They were shown both online and on TV in three consecutive dates - Vow February 9 at 5 p.m., Crush on Feb. 10 at 5 p.m., and Date on Feb. 11 at 3 p.m.,. 

After the airing of the said short films, each video specially the "Vow"  instantly turned into a trending topic! Different memes and hugot  lines were also emerged because of the said TVCs.

Directed by the familiar names in the world of short and indie films, here are the three "Kwentong Jollibee Valentines Series" which I've compiled for you to watch and feel the love in different forms. Let's watch these:

Reaction Vlog: Old Daniel Padilla in the KFC TVC

The KFC Philippines TV commercial gets more and more exciting as they introduce different actors portraying the iconic character of Colonel Sanders.

In the series of their TVC, we had Ronaldo Valdez, Leo Martinez, Albert Martinez, Pen Medina, and Christopher De Leon who played Colonel Sanders.

But in the recent TVC, it eventually turned as the most trending topic when the King of Hearts Daniel Padilla portrayed the role. Yes, Daniel, a 24-year old actor is the youngest PH's Colonel Sanders. The TVC made him look old with a gray hair, an eye glass wearing the all-white signature attire of Colonel Sanders.

And since the said KFC TVC went viral with interesting new look of Daniel Padilla, I made a new reaction vlog for this.

But did you know that it's not only DJ who portrayed the youngest Colonel Sanders? Well as I've discussed in my vlog, in China's KFC, there is a K-POP Luhan  who also portrayed the same role. On the other hand, its rival food chain McDonalds tapped the other K-POP artist Kris Wu to endorse their chicken product! 

In addition to this, in Nashville, there's the lead star of the TV series "Mad Men" who also played the role and a female American singer who also dressed like Colonel Sanders.

Three Look Alike!

What did these three guys have in common?! Do you see their great similarities?! Do you noticed the resemblance in them?!

What did Dennis, Rocky, and Coco have in common?!

On my previous posts, I told you my different look alike. I even posted a face-off between my face versus the actors whom I have a great resemblance! And that post became one of the trending topic in the internet. All of you really love that post!

And now, here we go again! This is the third part of my look-alike saga!

I discover something! And it was proven! People and even the modern technology proves that Dennis Trillo, Rocky Batara, and Coco Martin were really look alike! We were like a carbon copy of each other! Take a quick glance once again with our faces:

Who's the Cutest? Who Got the Great Look?!

If I were to ask you, who will you bet among Dennis, Rocky, and Coco, who will you choose? Or it's hard for you to do this since these three really have a great resemblance! Oh...I'm so sad na mahihirapan kang pumili...!

In my previous two posts last year and last March about my look alike, I have showed you that Rocky and Coco is look alike and Dennis and Rocky is also look alike. This theory is even supported and proven by one of the hi-tech application in Facebook and in one of the look-alike tester in the internet.

When I tried using the application, it was revealed that Rocky is 99% look-alike of Coco Martin and 100% look-alike of Dennis Trillo! Wow! I can't believe on that! Technology then supported my two previous posts! Hehe...!

Applying an equation in Mathematics and a theory in Logic, if Dennis is equal to Rocky and Rocky is equal to Coco, then we can derive an equation and a Mathematical statement saying that:

Dennis = Rocky = Coco

Agree?! I know you are convinced very much! Not only pictures, not only our faces, but technology and Mathematics really prove that Dennis, Rocky, and Coco were really look-alike! Hahaha...!

What if we three meet in person, will you can still identify who among them is Dennis, Rocky, and Coco?! Hayz...that's another big problem to solve!

By the way, when I tried the said application now finding my female look-alike or your female resemblance, it revealed that I'm 25% look-alike of Kim Chiu and 100% look-alike of Angel Locsin! What??! Haha...!!!

A 7-Month Old Baby Dances the 'Gangnam Style!'

I've just watched this new viral video from YouTube as it was featured in the late night news of Net 25. In the video, it shows a 7-month old baby dancing the Psy's hit dance craze, "Gangnam Style."

The baby is so cute! And he was able to dance to the beat of the hit song. After watching the news program, I immediately search this on YouTube to share it with you.

"Gangnam Style" is truly a huge phenomenal hit all over the world! Even a cute little baby like this was influenced by it! Thanks Psy for bringing us this dance craze!

"Budoy," the Primetime TV series of Gerald Anderson now becomes a huge hit. Aside from being a consistent top-rater in the TV rating race, "Budoy" also becomes a trending topic in the world wide web.

Aside from these, the comedian Jose Manalo also impersonates "Budoy" in one of the segment in "Eat Bulaga."

Charice Rocks!

The International Singing Sensation Charice is currently a trending topic in the world wide web. It's not because she has a new album or she has an international appearance. Rather because of her honestly in coming out of the closet! 

In the recent episode (June 2, 2013) episode of The Buzz, Charice admitted in the national TV that she is a lesbian! "Ako po ay Tomboy," the words that shocked the Philippine TV at the same time, cleared out the issues against her gender.  

But instead of receiving criticism, this revelation of Charice via one-on-one exclusive interview with Tito Boy Abunda garnered praise, applause, admiration, and positive reactions from the netizens.

After this controversial revelation, two days later, Tuesday night at the URBN Bar and Kitchen, I met in person Charice during the grand presscon of 2013 Yahoo OMG Awards.

I see the happiness in the face of Charice. She is more comfortable now. It seems that, "para s'yang nabunutan ng tinik sa dibdib." She even graced photos for the fans which made the other side of the resto-bar ala Charice Pictorial Session! "Talagang pinilahan siya!" 

We may recall that before her great revelation, Charice is a topic of the internet receiving different bashes and a victim of cyber bullying. But after the Sunday episode of The Buzz where she admitted her real personality, the world change to her! She is now the idol of many, the subject of admiration! Everybody is now saluting this artist! Of course count me in Charice, I'm one of the many who is saluting and admiring you!

Two thumbs up Charice for your honesty! You really deserve respect from the people around you! Charice truly rocks! (RCB)  

#Throwback2014: "Once a Merman"

Mermen and mermaids also became a trending topic in 2014 as ABS-CBN made they own TV series version of Mars Ravelos' "Dyesebel." The title role was played by Anne Curtis. But in the said TV series, it also gave rise to the mermen played by the hunk actors like Albert Martinez, Markki Stroem, Jay Gonzaga, Rigor Gorospe, and Sam Milby.  

Yours truly also joined the bandwagon. Before the summer of 2014 ends, I also became a merman with a blue tail.

The 2016 Miss Universe Pageant is currently the hottest trending topic worldwide. It is literary the talk of the town in all the forms of media.

Let's have another humor post here this time, let's highlight the Miss Universe Pageant.

The well-loved, the most visited, and the trending entertainment website of yours truly which is TV Series Craze is now on its 6 Successful Years.

Being the creator of this successful site, I am so proud of its achievement. For 6 years now, it continuously evolves dominating the world wide web. As of this writing, it now gains more than 6.9 Million hits and visits.

Its Facebook Fanpage which is

Born in April 17, 2009, TV Series Craze is now one of the most searcheable entertainment website. It is also now one of the most-shared websites and currently one of the favorite sites of fans, viewers, readers, and netizens.

My Top 10 Picks for the 2012 Emerging Influential Blogs!

Blogs are like mushrooms, they grow easily everywhere in the world-wide web focusing on different topics and interests. But of the hundred blogs created every year, few grew with impact and influence not only on the online world but also in our society.

This is the blogging project I waited every year which recognizes the influential newly created blogs. The Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2012 aims to recognize the influence of newly born blogs. These are blogs that started anytime from June 1, 2011 to the present. These blogs are gradually gaining a considerable amount of readership, following, influence and fascinating the reader in various ways. The bloggers behind them established the blog for various reasons such as expression of thoughts, sharing of knowledge and insight, building a movement, events reporting or coverage, and some for profit.

Actually, this is my second time to join this prestige blogging project. My first one was last 2010 during the first year anniversary of my famous entertainment blog, TV Series Craze. After two years, I'm back bringing you my top 10 picks! Are you ready?!

Well, check out my Top 10 Picks for the 2012 Emerging Influential Blogs. These are the following:

1. The Lifestyle Portal

I am a magazine collector, an avid follower of different billboards, a lifestyle enthusiast, and a trend settler. That is the reason why I gave birth to this new blog. Yes, this is my newly created blog born last February of this year. It's a lifestyle blog with a touch of entertainment focusing on magazine covers, billboards, and trending topics. Definitely, it's number one on my list.

2. The Chronicles of Love Mindanao

It's very rare for a certain personal blog to focus on a particular place in the country. I grew up being a Manileno and not yet given a chance to explore the beautiful place of Mindanao. Thanks that a blogger features this one of the beautiful and important places in the Philippines. That's why, it's my second choice.

3. MAG of My Life

I truly admire mommy bloggers. Despite their busy schedules taking care their children or spending time working, they still find time to blog different interesting things. This is my third choice not only because it's a mommy blog, but also because I got amazed with its title. MAG is actually an acronym for the names "Marco", "Anarc" & "Gelo" who were the mommy blogger's hubby and two children!

4. The Web Magazine

It's great to find that there is a blog which combines three different niches - personal, lifestyle, and entertainment. Or better say that this is a 3-in-1 blog that can easily captivates your online interest. Therefore, I put this blog on my fourth list.

5. Mighty Maus Trap

I caught my attention by this blog because of its unique style. The author relates herself to a mouse who is trapped in blogging. And the mouse is actually the author's name - Mau! This personal lifestyle blog is my top 5 for the year.

6. Blogged: Eccentric Yet Happy

I got curious with the title of this blog. It captivates my attention that's why I immediately visit it. It didn't failed my expectation. It's an interesting blog which gives all your needs and feeds your variety of interest. This is the blog dubbed as the random thoughts of a lifestyle and entertainment blogger. A vegan, adventurous traveler, an audiophile, tech geek, a poet and a wanderer. Therefore, it took my sixth choice.

7. Yummy Tales

Who love foods?! Count me in, I love to eat! I even love to dine-in in different restaurants or food courts. Definitely, it's my seventh choice since this is a blog that features foods and different menus. This blog really makes me hungry every time I visit it.

8. Foodies from the Metro

Like I've told you on the previous number, I love foods and I love eating and dinning in different restaurants. But what makes this blog different is that it focuses itself to the different foods around the Metro! I love how it presents the menus and promos from different dinning places around our urban area.

9. The Purple Doll

Not because it is also a food blog, what made me decide to put this blog on my list is that, I got captivated by its cool design! It's a purple blog wherein purple dominates the totally of the blog. It even makes my laugh by its description saying "A Personal Blog-Turned-Food Blog!"

10. i am a dekaphobic

Last but the least is my tenth choice! Yes, this is another food, travel and lifestyle blog. But what made decide to include it in my list is its quirky name. Hmmm...I wonder why it is called as such?!

And that's my Top 10 pick for the year! What can you say about my choices?!
