History of the Blogs Chapter 7: "Going Techie with TECHkyrocky"

You already enjoy discovering each bits of rocks, listen to your favorite music and watch its music video, read my literary articles, and get to know everything about your favorite TV series! Now it's time to become techie!

We're already on the seventh chapter of the history of my blogs. So for this part, let us know the history of this gadget and gizmo techie site known as TECHkyrocky!

It Originates From This Site

Originally, this site is known as Mortgage Plus, a real state blog site all intends for commercial purposes. It just aims to get ads and attracts clients. Until I decided to reformat and convert it!

Friday, May 8, 2009 the former Mortgage Plus site was converted to what is known now as TECHkyrocky. The layout, the design, and of course the contents were all changed. The previous real state articles were all deleted and changed to articles about gadgets, gizmos, devices, and all the techie things and products!

The reconverted site was now renamed as TECHkyrocky. Again, it came from two words: "tech" and "rocky". Forming them together means "a techie rocky". Merging them forms "TECHkyrocky".

But why TECHkyrocky and not as Techierocky?

Well, it's simply because to make it coherent with my name rocky. If I use Techierocky, my name should be Rockie leading to a title Techierockie!

So since I am Rocky, and to put coherence and parallelism to my blog title, it was named as TECH-ky-rocky, the word TECH was merge by ky to rocky giving you TECHkyrocky! Take note that the first word TECH was capitalized to emphasize that this is a tech or a techie blog! It is then followed by the small caps kyrocky!

Of course the URL was also patterned to its name giving you the address as techkyrocky.blogspot.com!

The site's subtitle description is "Gadgets, Gizmos, Devices, and Other Modern Technology Advancement Quick Reference Compilation"! since all of its contents all came from the different web source! Yup, it contains no original articles since it's only a compilation of all the tech articles around the net! It aims to provide the readers with the latest gadgets, devices, or technologies. Since each devices have their own specific specs, better to just borrow the exact articles from its original source rather to make my own to avoid an interpretation mistake!

I also like to take this opportunity to formally announce that TECHkyrocky already had its Facebook Fan Page. It just started last Sunday and glad that its fans keep on growing! Thanks for being one of those many fanatics! =)

April 2012 - "Cheers for Celebrations!"

Time is really so fast! I didn't notice that we are already on the month of April! And we already spent the holidays of the said month!

Well, just like I always do each month, I'm sharing you my feature topics and expectations here in The Rock Land.

I know you are wondering why the month of April for me is a call for celebration. Can you give me first your wild guess before I reveal?!

A cheers for celebration because this month of April, I have different anniversaries to celebrate!

First of all in terms of blogging and of my online world, April marks the rise of my blogs! Remember the year 2009 of the same month, my blogs became so active and created remarkable legacy in the cyber space! The month also serves as the birthday of my phenomenal hit blog site, TV Series Craze. And of course the birth of other site like TECHkyrocky as well as the other.

April also marks our home anniversary! Yup, we were already three years now here in our new home sweet home! Once more, I will let you invade our home! =)

Then this day, April 9 is our monthsary with my new love of my life! We will be having our sweet romantic date later this week!

And of course, I will continue sharing with you with moments with the stars, my showbiz career together with the brightest stars in the industry! "Sobrang dami kaya di ko mai-feature lahat nang sabay-sabay!" But then, look at your right side! I post some of our pictures in the panel!

History of the Blogs Chapter 1: "In the Beginning"

April 2009 marked the rise of all the rocky's blogs. From one personal blog site to seven gorgeous hit sites! Yup, I have now seven blog sites to offer to all of you. Five of these blogs were so active and regularly maintain while the other two serve as a storage!

But, did you all know how these blogs started?!

Well, in accordance to my one year rise of the blogs celebration, allow me to share with you the history of my sites!

Let's go to the Chapter 1 of the history. This is the humble beginning...!

It all started as "Bits of Rockz" in Friendster!

I really love writing. Since elementary, my writing career started being a writer in our school publication. Then in High School, I was a successful Literary Editor then became Sports Editor joining different writing contest. At the end of High School, I was awarded as the 2001 Mamamahayag Ng Taon" for a number of prestige contributions I gave to the school! And of course in College, since first year, I was a writer of our school publication. For four consecutive years, I was the Managing Editor! I already wrote different types of article from opinion, literary, creative, to technical!

When I graduated in College last March 31, 2007, I became busy in the Corporate World. I had my first job as a Network Administrator. But then, I still practiced my writing abilities as a Technical Writer of our system and process.

When I entered my second job being a Software Engineer on August 29, 2007, my techincal writing job eventually stopped! But this marked the beginning of my online writing hobby!

On my second job, all the websites were open. You have an unlimited access to all the internet sites. Even social networking sites like Friendster were open to all its employees. And since Friendster was really a huge hit that days, I became addicted to it!

Until I explore the Friendster Blog...

There using the Friendster Blog application, my very first blog site entitled "Bits of Rockz was born!

"A Journey to a Rocky Road" was the quick subtitle description of this blog. It contains all my personal articles as well as my other hit printed literary articles in college. Time to time, it was updated! All my previous officemates in my second job got also addicted reading this blog.

But when I grabbed my third job here in my present company last February 11, 2008, my Friendster Blog became inactive! But, it marked the rise of other more exciting blog sites!

At first Friendster was accessible in our company. I still able to update my Friendster Blog. Until Friendster was blocked in our office as well as the other social networking sites like Multiply. My last update to my Friendster blog was on May 29, 2008.

Since it was hard to access Friendster in our company, I then explored other blog sites. Until I discovered Blogger! From there, my blogging career started!

March 2008, my very first Blogger site was born! It was named as "Bits of Rocks II" since it was a continuation of my Friendster blog. Some of my hit articles from my Friendster blog was transferred or duplicated to it!

Then on April 2008, another blog site was launched. It was called "Rhythm of the Rock" which was also derived from one of the segment of my Friendster Blog "Rhythm of my Heart". It contains all my favorite song lyrics!

In 2008, I was pro-advertisement. I just used this two blog sites for my ads. To add more advertisers, I launched my third blog site which was called "Mortgage Plus". It was solely purpose for advertisements.

When my ads became so weak, these three blogs became inactive. They were no longer updated since then!

Until on April 2009, these blog sites were then revived! I felt inlove during that time so I immediately updated my "Rhythm of the Rock" blog featuring my lovelife's theme song!s My other blog which was renamed as "Bits of Rocks" (without II) was also updated!

Not only these two, the third or should I say the fourth blog was also born on the same month and year. It was called as "TV Series Craze" containing all the information about your favorite TV Series.

Oops, before I forget, my literary blog site which was called "The Rock's Literary Collection" was born together with the "Rhythm of the Rock" blog.

The former "Mortgage Plus" blog was now converted to the hit gadget blog called "TECHkyrocky"!

All these blog sites have their own history to tell. Know them all on the next succeeding chapters of my Blog Sites History! See Yah on the next chapters...!!! c",)

Happy 5TH Blog Anniversary Bits of Rocks!

Today, March 15, 2013 is the 5TH birthday of the one and only, the star of all the blogs, Bits of Rocks! 

It was 2008 the same date when this blog started. My self-titled poem called "Rocky" which I wrote in College and was published in our official Student Publication's literary folio served as my very first post here in this blog site. Well, you may check it out here in this link: Rocky

Started with a plain all black background with green font in the main title and white text font in the post body, this blog was my very first blog in the blogger's blogspot platform. It became the "Mother of All My Blogs" as from this blog emerged my other blogs with the different niche like Rhythm of the Rock, The Rock's Literary Collection, TECHkyrocky, and TV Series Craze.   

Bits of Rocks in 2009 changed name to The Rock Land then to Rock Republic in 2012 but only for a week until it return back to Bits of Rocks the same year.  This is my personal blog site which tells everything you want to know about me as well as cool and humor posts with bits of lifestyle and entertainment. Until stars and different personalities join the Bits' bandwagon!  

I'm so proud that my blog, my very first blog, this blog is standing strong and still! Being in the blogging community for 5 solid years now is really a great achievement! And I'm glad that this site even evolves!

As part of my month-long 5TH Blog Anniversary this month of March, I will share with you more exciting facts and trivia about this blog! For now, join me in greeting it:

The New Design of My Blog Network!

It's definitely a league of all my blog sites! Collectively speaking, all my blog sites can now be called as "The Rock's Blog Network"! And I created a design or logo for my blog network!

Yup, that is my latest new design for the collection of all my blogs. As you can see, just like a network, they were interconnected by a central letter "R"! Do you know why?

That only means that all those blogs were made, designed, and popularized by yours truly, Rock! Seven blogs having different genres were created by only one person who is Rocky, a name starting with a capital R!

As you can see, the design is very simple emphasizing all my seven blogs. Each blogs were represented by their own logos. The Rock Land, Rhythm of the Rock, TV Series Craze, Boards and Mags, TECHkyrocky, Rockz Cafe, and The Rock's Literary Collection comprise "The Rock's Blog Network"!

But actually they were not only seven blogs in all! Honestly I have nine blogs in all! If you will notice, I did not include my A(H1N1) blog which I created for our company last year. It's because I didn't anymore update that said blog site. And of course, I did not include my sexy, daring blog! Haha! It is written under a particular pen name!

What can you say about my new design, do you like it?! You are free to give your thoughts and opinions! Though it's very simply, it's meaningful! C",)

History of the Blogs Chapter 9: "The 7th Blog"

I told you before that all in all, I have 7 blog sites. 5 of these sites were regularly maintain while 2 were inactive and just serve as a storage. You already knew my 6 blog sites. Only the last one remains unknown. Ready to know it?!

This is my 7th Blog site! This is called "A(H1N1) Project Prevent".

Actually this is the blog site I have created for our company. It was created last June 29, 2009.

Because last year the swine flu or the A(H1N1) virus widely spread, our company launched a special project called "Prevent A(H1N1) Project". And glad to say that I was the one who handles it! Yeah, I became the team lead of this project for our corporate communication!

So as part of this project, I created this web blog site! Since June last year, this site was no longer updated. It remains as is! But still it exists!

Now, you already completed the 7 blog sites of Rocky! Actually it is 8 if we include my Friendster blog called "Bits of Rocks"! Let us enumerate them:

Counting My Top 10 Blessings Of 2009!

2009 is over! We are now on the new phase of the decade, 2010!

But before we finally say goodbye to 2009, let us count the blessings we received for this year.

For me, this year was truly a great year to count. Success, achievements, transitions were some of the terms to describe the experience I had!


So, here are the Top 10 Remarkable Things of 2009 that I should be thankful for:

1.) New Home - April of this year when we transferred to our new home. More beautiful, more elegant, wider, and really nice compare with our previous. You see it yourself during the series of our invasions!

2.) Rise of the Blogs - This year marked the birth of my different blog sites. Started as "Bits of Rocks" which eventually turned as "The Rock Land", this personal blog became so active this year as well as my music blog "Rhythm of the Rock". This year also gave birth to my new blog "TV Series Craze" which is so popular these days and to my techie-themed blog "TECHkyrocky".

3.) Successful Career in the Corporate Work - It was indeed a golden year for me in my work. I was given a lot of opportunities in our office and proud to say that I had performed all my tasks and projects with flying colors! All my BRAVO cards, souvenir items, and other appreciations from the different managers reflected this!

4.) Artistic Working Area - Well, you are the one to witness the different transformations of my working area. We transferred working station twice but my artistic style of my own working area maintains which garnered different feedback of appreciations from my officemates.

5.) Birth of My Different Pets - "Miming Negro" became so popular this year. She was well-loved by all the people who visited this site. But aside from her, more new pets were introduced this year starting from the cats, kittens, puppies, tigers, up to the other wild domesticated pets like my civet cat!

6.) New PC - Before the year ends, I finally have my new Personal Computer in our home. Maybe this is the biggest thing I have bought for this year. I also bought its other accessories such as the web cam, speaker, and electric fan solely for this PC. I also have an unlimited access to internet in our home which made my cyber life so active and in-demand!

7.) Lots of Photographs - I had too many pictorials for this year! Yeah, just like what you have seen, in every events, I have photos! I am like a famous model who have different pictorials taken by paparazzi or official photographers.

8.) More Roles and Opportunities - Aside from my routine work in the office, I was also became an effective Trainer of our team. I conducted different trainings in our office. The feedback were all excellent! All my trainees liked me so much and my unique style in presentation. My writing abilities were also enhanced as I developed and created different Manuals and Process Guides to our team in addition to my blogging hobby!

9.) Preparation for a Sexy Body - First week of December when I started to go in a gym. Yup, for five times now, every weekend (when not busy), I go in a gym to develop my abs, chest, biceps, and muscles! Hopefully I see the results of my workouts before our Summer outing!

10.) Active Sex Life - Yeah, though I'm single, I can proudly say that my sex life for this year was so active! Ooh! Just like a sexy star, I was really bankable! I already performed many matured roles like what our hottest youngstars did today!

Indeed, 2009 was so great to me! It gave me lots of blessings and opportunities to count. These were only the top 10 most remarkable things. Yup, there were other things not mentioned here. Some I forgot, some were not need to mentioned!

I also like to add that this year also started my increasing savings in the banks, Hopefully it will flourish more on the succeeding years!

So, thanking primarily our God from up above for all the good things He gave to me this year, let us all salutes and appreciates 2009...Thank You Very Much 2009!!! c",)
