Food Bits: The Red and White Spaghetti!

I enjoyed different foods and dishes in the different events or presscons I have attended from the different restaurants or hotels. Before start eating, I took first photos of the foods. And I really lots of them in my camera.

Since I'm not a food blogger, I didn't include those foods in my posts. But since those foods were really great and may caught your interest, I am now starting again my food segment! Remember years ago, I shared with you my own recipes. This time, I'll share my food events.

Let me start with the food during my recent UNIQLO Spring Summer 2013 Launch in Venice Piazza, Mickinley Hills. We had our dinner in Tokyo Cafe. The major dishes they served was the red and white spaghetti.

Here are the photos of the foods I've tasted:

The Red Spaghetti

The White Spaghetti

I Love Tokyo Cafe!

Tokyo Cafe is actually a Japanese resto. They were serving Japanese foods. The Spaghetti and the piazza were in Japanese style. Actually in the red spaghetti, there are shrimps. And the taste was truly extra-ordinary!

The white spaghetti is actually their style of carbonara. There are some strands of fish in the meal making it more delicious!

The two spaghettis were served together with fried chicken, bread, and fresh ice tea! So tempting! Love it! (RCB)

Chicken Macaroni Salad for the New Year!

On the New Year's eve, one of the desserts we prepared and served was the chicken macaroni salad. Besides the graham buko and mango desserts and buko salad, I told my mom to also serve a macaroni salad to give way to a non-sweet dessert. This is my first time to make a chicken mac salad!

Since it's my first recipe, I'm not sure about all its ingredients. I text my teammate to confirm the ingredients. But I received no reply from her so I called my close friend.

Thanks to my close friend. He gave me all the ingredients to prepare a chicken mac salad. He even instructed me what to do.

And here's how I do it:

Boiling and Draining the Macaroni Pasta

Mixing All the Ingredients

Putting the Finished Product in their Respective Trays

Placing the Finished Product in Refrigerator for Cooling

A followed my friend's instructions in preparing this chicken mac salad. The ingredients were elbow macaroni, boiled chicken flesh, mayonnaise, powdered black pepper, chopped carrot, and dried grapes (pasas). Yup, there's no need for an all-purpose cream! According to him, they didn't used an all-purpose cream in preparing this said.

Some people add an onion to it. But in our case, we don't like! Others even add pineapple chunks or cherries to it! When all these ingredients were complete, time now to mix them!

When the mixture is finally complete, we can now place it in their respective trays and put in in refrigerator for cooling! Afterwards we can serve it!

Oh I really love it! It tasted so good! Yup, this is more delicious than those I previously tasted from the other makers! My mom even like it!

When you visit me in our home, I'll serve you some! Happy New Year everyone! C",)

A Mango-Grahams Dessert for the Holiday!

Before our Noche Buena last night, I made another dessert. This is my very own-made Mango-Grahams Dessert!

Before, I already made different flavors of Grahams Dessert. The Buko and the Coffe were some of the flavors I previously made. This time, I created the mango!

Below is how I made it:

Preparing All The Ingredients

Mixing the All-Purpose Cream and the Condense Milk in a Bowl

Slicing the Mangoes

Putting the Grahams Flakes on the Respective Trays

Putting the Other Ingredients in the Tray

The Ready Made Product

Putting the Finished Product on the Freezer

It's very fun doing this! After so many times, I have made another dessert of mine! And we served this dessert during the Christmas eve! Yup, I've been very busy recently so I wasn't able to made new desserts. Thanks God, I'm free this Holiday (though very busy in my blogging career) so I have time to create this one!

My younger brother really love this dessert. He even wants more! He requested me on the New Year's eve to make more new Grahams Dessert! He really love it! And I also do! =)

What can you say about my dessert?! Would you even like it?! Would you like to taste some?!

Well, when you visit us here in our home, I will serve you some! Have a great holidays! Enjoy! C",)

A Special Graham 'Buko' Dessert!

As promised, I will share with you my second recipe which I made last Sunday together with my corn flavored maja blanca! This time, let us "feel expert sa dessert.."!

Yup, this is a Graham special dessert! But I made my own! Since everyone of us were popular with the mango dessert using Graham biscuit, in my recipe, I used 'buko'!

Well, let me share with you how I made it!

Preparing All The Ingredients

Mixing All The Ingredients in a Bowl

Of course, prepare all the ingredients! These were the Graham Biscuit (ang bida ng recipe), all-purpose cream, condense milk, and the 'buko' (ang special star ng aking recipe)! And also prepare all the utensils and trays to use!

Mix all these ingredients in a bowl. Stir it well until the all-purpose cream and the condense milk combine as one!

When they were already mixed, start now putting the Graham rectangular biscuits in the tray where you will put the mixture. Shape the rectangular biscuits in the bottom of the tray. These were serve as the baseline!

Crushing the Graham Biscuits

Finished Product! Ready to Put in the Freezer!

Now pour the mixture in the tray where you put the Graham biscuits. Shape it accordingly. This will be your first layer! Afterward, put again another Graham rectangular biscuits on top of the mixture then pour another mixture on it! This is now the second layer! Do it repeatedly until you run out of mixture to pour!

In my case, I came up with three layers. On the very top of my dessert, I put crushed of Graham biscuits. Yup, I patiently crushed the whole Graham biscuits and put it on the very top of my finished dessert!

Now, we already had a so-called special Graham 'buko' dessert! The finished product was put in the freezer to froze!

I love it! This is my sweetest dessert! I was inspired by the same Graham dessert brought by one of my officemate one dinner night! So I made my own (gaya-gaya..haha!)! It was more special than her since I used 'buko'! =)

This Graham 'buko' dessert as well as the corn flavored maja blanca were all made in one Sunday afternoon! Oh, how great was that day! I made two desserts! Wow!

There was no such occasion on that day! I just felt like doing special recipes. So here were the products! Maybe we can tagged that day as The Rock's Sunday Recipe Specials! Haha...! Do you love my products?! See you once again next time for more menus! C",)

Cooking A Corn Flavored Maja Blanca!

It's recipe time once again! I know you really missed my special recipes. So for this moment, I will share with you my newly learned recipe!

Last Sunday, I cooked two recipes. The first one is the so-called maja blanca and the other one is the Graham Dessert! I will share with you first the maja blanca.

At first, I didn't know how to cook this kind of 'kakanin'! I didn't even have an idea how it is made. Until one day, my officemate brought a maja blanca as our dessert for lunch.

Since I love to eat maja even before when my mom always bought it for us, I wonder how it was made. At first, I thought that it was just a harden 'gulaman' or gelatin. But it's not!

Out of curiosity, I asked my officemate how she was able to make it. Then she willingly told me!

Mixing All The Ingredients in a Bowl

Boiling The Mixed Ingredients in a Stove

According to her, maja blanca is a mixture of corn starch, 'gata ng niyog', corn (the one in the can), and evaporated milk. Yup, actually this is all the ingredients!

Put all these ingredients in a bowl and mix. Taste it and ensure its sweetness. You may add sugar on your mixture. But when you use a condense milk instead of the evaporated one, I'm sure no need to add sugar since it is automatically sweet! But in my case, I put teaspoons of sugar since I use an evaporated milk!

When the mixture is ready and already taste good, it is now time to heat and boil it in the stove. So, I boiled it in our stove and wait for a couple of minutes.

Cooking is Over When The Mixture Becomes Sticky!

Putting The Cooked Maja Blanca in Their Respective Trays

Afterward Let Them Cool and Get Harden

I always stir my mixture in our casserole to ensure that it didn't stick and harden while boiling. When the mixture is getting hotter and hotter, it started to coagulates!

How did we know that cooking and boiling of the mixture is enough?! Well, that was the same question I asked in my officemate. According to her, it is already cooked when the mixture becomes sticky! When it started to stick in your casserole or in your sandok, then cooking is over!

So, I followed her advice! I keep an eye in my recipe in the stove to prevent it from coagulation. But when it was already sticky, I removed it from the stove! Wow, this is it! My very own maja blanca recipe! Oh yeah!

After I removed the cooked mixture in the stove, I poured it in respective trays! Then I let them cooled and harden before placing the trays in the refrigerator!

That's it! It's simple right?! My mom was so happy that I can now cooked a special corn flavored maja blanca! Actually you can topped the finished product with peanuts or niyog. You can even put food colorings on it. That's why you often see a yellow maja blanca! But in my case, I retained it to be white!

Well, what can you say about my new discovered recipe?! Want to try some of it?! Pwede na bang mag-asawa...?! Sorry, I wasn't able to provide photogenic pictures of my recipe because it's too hard to take pictures while cooking! Haha! See you on my next recipe! C",)

My Beef Taco Recipe

It's another yummy post once again! Today, I will share with you another recipe of mine! I was inspired to cook this own recipe when my officemate brought a dish like this in our office. So, I make my own!

After I let you taste my special pasta macaroni, spaghetti de rocky, and choco-gelatin dessert (did I forgot something?), now come and taste my very own...beef taco recipe! Ohh yeah!

These are my ingredients:

A Grind Beef

Red Slices of Tomato

Cabbage Toppings

The Taco Chips

Also part of the ingredients were tomato paste and white onion rings! I just forgot to took a photo of them!

So since our ingredients were complete, let us now start cooking!

The first thing to do is to saute the grind beef in hot cooking oil together with the bits of tiny-chopped garlic. Stir them until the beef turns brownish indicating that it is already cooked. Mixed now the tomato paste into the cooked grind beef. Then put drops of grind pepper, salt, and very little amount of vetsin to it. Taste. Once the taste is ok, remove the cooked beef from the frying pan then put it in your serving bowl.

Now prepare the other ingredients of your beef taco, the raw vegetables! Put them in the other separated plates. With the cooked beef blended with tomato paste, cabbage, tomato slices, white onion rings, and taco chips, our special beef taco is ready to eat!

The taco chip will serve as your plate (but of course you will still put it in a small platito). Put teaspoons of cooked grind beef in your taco chip. Then top it with tomato slices, cabbage, and white onion rings! Now you have your beef taco ready to eat as a snack or a main dish! Yum-yum-yum!

In addition to this, you may also combine a grind pork together with the grind beef to make a beef-pork combo taco! If you want, you may also top a cucumber ring in your taco! But remember that, always use a white onion in your toppings rather than the red one to prevent your breath from smelling bad! Yup red onions are a mere source of bad breaths!

Well, what more can you add?! Do you like my recipe? What other more ingredients you may suggest?! Next time I will share with you more and more recipe from your very own Chef Rocky! At your service...!!! C",)
