Feel the Fight and Romance in the Highest Grossing Chinese Film "Never Say Die"

The Chinese New Year (CNY) is fast-approaching. And just like most of you, a Chinoy blogger and vlogger like me is preparing for this tradition. Yes, it is always my tradition here in my personal blog Bits of Rocks to celebrate the Chinese tradition with you via featuring Chinese-themed posts. On the previous years, I already featured Chinese horoscope, beliefs, holiday treats, and fun stuffs which definitely captured your attention.

This year, let's take the entertainment side (since entertainment is also one of my fortes). Have you already planned for a date with your love one watching a romcom Chinese movie?   

Before KPOP domination here in the Philippines, Chinese movies were considered crowd favorites in the foreign film entertainment scene especially with themes leaning toward romcom, action and supernatural.  Another instance was during the height of the Mexican telenovela in the country in the early 2000, Chinese series Meteor Garden starring F4 was such a big hit on Television.

Chinese movie followers or even those who crave for fresh films are in for a hilarious treat as the recent blockbuster top grosser in China and Hong Kong over the recent months will now be shown in the country. Never Say Die will leave you excited all throughout the film and will have you laughing your heart out as Ai Lun (Edison) and Ma Li (Xiao Xiao) bring you a mixture of all the elements you love in a Chinese film; Action, RomCom and Supernatural all in one movie. The film is the highest-grossing in China in 2017 with a whopping US$334 million recorded in the box office.

Never Say Die surpassed the US$250 million earned by Jackie Chan’s film Kung Fu Yoga last year, to become the biggest single-territory grosser among all live-action comedies ever released.

Never Say Die is a movie about a has-been Ultimate Fighting King (UFK) boxer who can’t seem to get a good fight and a celebrity Journalist who is caught it in a bad romance and how destiny allowed them to straighten their acts as they switch bodies and embark in a series of misadventures to fix their intertwined predicament.

ABS-CBN's Recogntion of the Awards Aired on Primetime TV

Our very own The 7TH TV Series Craze Awards 2016 was featured in two of the ABS-CBN Primetime shows namely "Till I Met You"  and "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano." The said two Kapamilya teleseryes bagged the most number of awards from different categories.

Our very own award is now on its 7TH year. It recognizes different TV series, actors, actresses, and stars who truly created an impact on the said year. It is my annual tradition of chosing those best among the rest! It's great to know that the huge TV network like the ABS-CBN accredit our awards.

Let's start with "Till I Met You." Here is ABS-CBN airing of our awards for the JaDine's TV Series:

"Till I Met You" won three major awards namely Best Primetime TV Series, one of the Hottest Love Team of 2017 for JaDine, and Most Promising Actor of the Year for JC Santos.

Oh, they were so lovely just like my pets that I mentioned above! What if my pets combine or join with them!? Rest then assures that it will such a crazy marry-go-round carambola encounter! A royal rumble of the animals!

Invasion of our Home III: 'My Bravia'

It was December 9, 2007 during our Christmas Party when I won the Grand Prize in my previous company. And this was the 32" LCD TV Sony Bravia. Of all the employees there, I thought I was the luckiest for having this expensive TV! No more talks on the story behind winning this Grand Prize (because I already tell you and posted it here the whole story) but if you really want to know how I won, you may read again my post, "Rocky De Bravia"!

We started to use this TV only in March 2008. As expensive and as luxurious of it are the accessories needed by it. We need to avail Cable Service for this instead of the regular antenna for its reception.


Well, it's almost one year together with my new LCD TV. Many want to see it. Many want to watch movie or TV programs with matching state of the art surround sound. So, I will let you again invade our home to see my Bravia TV!

This how our Sony Bravia looks. Well on the first image, the whole image itself. On the next three, these were taken during the time I am watching a particular movie and TV Series. The first is the movie of bea Alonzo while the next two...well, I know you're familiar with it! It's the two David Garcia, JR and Dave of the hit teleserye, 'Tayong Dalawa'!

And of course, the shelf under it are the collection of my DVDs both music and movies!
