I Am Now an ISTQB Certified Software Engineer!

September 10, 2012 is another milestone in my career. This is the date when I passed one of the important board exam and certification in our profession. This is the ISTQB or the International Software Testing Qualifications Board! This is an International Certification in the field of software testing engineering!

All the hardships in terms of time pressure, peer pressure, and overnight reviews during weekends were now turned to a sweet fruit that I'm starting to enjoy!

I had a very little time to have my own review for this certification. We had a month-long Monday review sessions for this certification but because of my too busy schedules, I wasn't able to attend most of the sessions! I've just got a serious review last week, one hour every after work and a full blast last Saturday and Sunday!

Thank God, I didn't only passed the exam, I even got a high score!

The examination is a computer-based exam consisting of 40 difficult questions. The passing score is 26 points or 65%. I got an overall correct answer of 30 points or 75%! Wow!

Above were the pictures of my examination result right after the exam. My certification will be given to us six to eight weeks now!

ISTQB certification is an International Board Exam! It is recognize all over the world in our field of Software Engineer. Certification represents recognition of a particular individual’s professional competence. It is prestige for the individual and a competitive advantage over non-certified individuals in the same field. Many companies consider ISTQB certification as a plus point for employees during appraisals. And during employee recruitment here and abroad, many companies prefer certified employees over non certified employees!

On my next post, I will share with you more of my success story pertaining to this prestige international certification. Thank you Lord for this another great blessing! c",)

Engineering Hymn

Are you also a graduate of Engineering? How hard the course for you?!

Well, if you'll ask me, I'm an Electronics and Communications Engineering graduate! For 6 years of studying in College (since I graduated from two course), I surpassed all the challenges, hardships, and struggles in taking this course! Thanks God, I survived Engineering! I am now very happy in my career in the Corporate World!

I would like to share with you a song sent by my friend in my email. You know the hymn of Manny Villar's campaign?! Yeah, sing it with this tune!

Here you go:

Engineering Hymn
(to the tune of Manny Villar's latest political campaign jingle)

Ahah

Love it?! Hope you enjoy! To all my friends who were still studying, goodluck in your studies! Study hard and don't lose hope! In the end, you will find yourselves successful!! c",)

I Remember The Days IV: "In The Midst of Antennas"

November 14, 2006 - Dream TV

To give you more on our Field Trip in Ilocos last November 2006, here are my other photos taken from one of the site we had visited.

Hmmm...if I'm not mistaken, this place was the Dream TV, one of the companies that provide cable TV signal in the different places in our country as well as in the other nations around the globe. We were toured to see the complete structure of their company, the circuits, the panel TVs covering other international stations, their transmitters, and of course these huge antennas!

Well, give them first a quick view!

The place was really good! I like the ambiance. It was surrounded with beautiful views!

I was amazed during that time with the different kinds of antennas they have. The shapes and structures varies. Round, cone type, pointed, wand style, etc...all they have!

I didn't waste my time, I took the moment to have my solo shots in the place! Did you see it!? Since Electronic Communications was one of my favorite subjects in College, I really felt the spirit of our course Electronics and Communications Engineering with these large antennas!

Well, what can you say?! Did you even like the place? You could always send me feedbacks...!!! c",)
