Food Bits: Delights at the Seventh High!

We had a fun night last week at the APEX Lounge of Seventh High in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), The Fort Taguig. The international heartthrob Chris Cayzer serenaded us with his rock and melo music together with his band led by Ali Alejandro in an event dubbed as the "Soul Nite."

But aside from the music of Chris, we enjoyed more the foods served by the resto bar. Yes, the Seventh High brought us four of their newest best offering which completed our night. Well, check out those dishes that fulfilled our senses:

The Chicken Barbeque Quesadillas

Yes, this is the menu I love the most! It is a Barbeque chicken Breast and Monterey Jack Cheese Sandwiched between Crispy Tortilla! It's so yummy that you will truly ask for more! Take note, I ate three plates of this dish! It's tastier and yummier than the regular taco we used eat.

Chicken Barbeque Quesadillas Was The One I Love Most

The Wild Mushroom Pasta

As the term suggests, this is the type of pasta recipe that will drive you wild! Yeah, this food made me wilder on the said night. Imagine that I even went up the stage jammin' and singin' with Chris! Wow! This recipe is made up of Shitake White button porcini mushrooms sauteed with cream and tossed with linguine pasta, finished with truffle oil.

Wild Mushroom Pasta Made My Night Wilder

The Steak and Egg

What if an ordinary egg made so special blended with meaty ingredients?! Well, that was the third dish served to us during the "Soul Nite." At first, we can easily recognize it as a simple egg. But when you taste it, ...awesome! The menu is made up of seared beef tenderloin topped with sunny side up quail egg. It is served with English muffin and bearnaise sauce.

My Tummy Made Full with Steak and Eggs

The Sticky Rice and Mango Flambe

Now it's time for dessert! And since I'm a dessert-lover person, I appreciate all the desserts served to me and even want to make my own style! During the said night, I discover something new and interesting dessert to serve to our guest. It's a combination of two popular Pinoy delicacies - rice cake and mango! Who knows that these two foods can be put together to give us something new! This dessert is a local rice cake and fresh ripe mangoes tossed in caramel syrup.

Oh I Like This Sticky Rice and Mango Flambe

Great, four new dishes which captivated our taste buds! Now, there were four new menus to crave for! Thanks to Seventh High for letting us taste their new masterpieces!

If you were to ask, which of these four servings do you love and like the most?! Which of them will you taste first?!

The said "Soul Nite" event not only fed our ears with great good songs from Chris Cayzer, it fed our stomach with yummy foods as well! Two thumbs up Seventh High for this! We will truly come back for more! (RCB)

Food Bits: The Red and White Spaghetti!

I enjoyed different foods and dishes in the different events or presscons I have attended from the different restaurants or hotels. Before start eating, I took first photos of the foods. And I really lots of them in my camera.

Since I'm not a food blogger, I didn't include those foods in my posts. But since those foods were really great and may caught your interest, I am now starting again my food segment! Remember years ago, I shared with you my own recipes. This time, I'll share my food events.

Let me start with the food during my recent UNIQLO Spring Summer 2013 Launch in Venice Piazza, Mickinley Hills. We had our dinner in Tokyo Cafe. The major dishes they served was the red and white spaghetti.

Here are the photos of the foods I've tasted:

The Red Spaghetti

The White Spaghetti

I Love Tokyo Cafe!

Tokyo Cafe is actually a Japanese resto. They were serving Japanese foods. The Spaghetti and the piazza were in Japanese style. Actually in the red spaghetti, there are shrimps. And the taste was truly extra-ordinary!

The white spaghetti is actually their style of carbonara. There are some strands of fish in the meal making it more delicious!

The two spaghettis were served together with fried chicken, bread, and fresh ice tea! So tempting! Love it! (RCB)

Lechon De Ulo for Our Noche Buena!

We had just celebrated a joyful Christmas Eve with my family - my mom, my brother, and my aunties and cousins who visited our house. And for our Noche Buena, a big 'Lechon Ulo' was served!

My mother ordered this yummy lechon and put a big apple on its mouth. The pork head lechon became the star of our Noche Buena feast this 2012 Christmas eve.

A Huge Crispy Lechon De Ulo on our Table for Noche Buena!

It was Served Together with a Big Apple on Its Mouth!
Joining this Lechon De Ulo as our foods for this Christmas eve were fried chicken, nilagang pata, pancit bihon, and sandwich with cheese spread. Then for desserts, they were ice cream served in cone and frozen buko salad with iced-cold softdrinks!

These were our simple handa for this most important celebration of the year! We truly enjoyed it!

Our Noche Buena for this year also served as a family reunion. Exchange gift followed completing the night's celebration.

Wishing you all a Merry, Merry Christmas! Let's all Enjoy and Be Thankful to all the Blessings we Received from God! (RCB)

My Beef Taco Recipe

It's another yummy post once again! Today, I will share with you another recipe of mine! I was inspired to cook this own recipe when my officemate brought a dish like this in our office. So, I make my own!

After I let you taste my special pasta macaroni, spaghetti de rocky, and choco-gelatin dessert (did I forgot something?), now come and taste my very own...beef taco recipe! Ohh yeah!

These are my ingredients:

A Grind Beef

Red Slices of Tomato

Cabbage Toppings

The Taco Chips

Also part of the ingredients were tomato paste and white onion rings! I just forgot to took a photo of them!

So since our ingredients were complete, let us now start cooking!

The first thing to do is to saute the grind beef in hot cooking oil together with the bits of tiny-chopped garlic. Stir them until the beef turns brownish indicating that it is already cooked. Mixed now the tomato paste into the cooked grind beef. Then put drops of grind pepper, salt, and very little amount of vetsin to it. Taste. Once the taste is ok, remove the cooked beef from the frying pan then put it in your serving bowl.

Now prepare the other ingredients of your beef taco, the raw vegetables! Put them in the other separated plates. With the cooked beef blended with tomato paste, cabbage, tomato slices, white onion rings, and taco chips, our special beef taco is ready to eat!

The taco chip will serve as your plate (but of course you will still put it in a small platito). Put teaspoons of cooked grind beef in your taco chip. Then top it with tomato slices, cabbage, and white onion rings! Now you have your beef taco ready to eat as a snack or a main dish! Yum-yum-yum!

In addition to this, you may also combine a grind pork together with the grind beef to make a beef-pork combo taco! If you want, you may also top a cucumber ring in your taco! But remember that, always use a white onion in your toppings rather than the red one to prevent your breath from smelling bad! Yup red onions are a mere source of bad breaths!

Well, what more can you add?! Do you like my recipe? What other more ingredients you may suggest?! Next time I will share with you more and more recipe from your very own Chef Rocky! At your service...!!! C",)

Cooking My Favorite Recipe

Food...food..food!

Last Holiday, I cooked one of my favorite food. Actually it was my third time to cook or make a special dish. The first one was Taco, the second was my favorite Spaghetti, and this is the third...Macaroni!

Maybe you may ask why I cooked such like this..!?

Come and Taste My Dish... !

It's Perfect With Orange Juice!

Just like I said I had already cooked two special dishes (excluded to these were my own creation of my different desserts!). And it was a successful experiment! So I continue developing my hidden talent now in the field of foods and cooking!

Actually my original plan was to cook again another Spaghetti dish. But then, since I already tested cooking a very delicious special Spaghetti two weeks ago, I decided to cook another one but similar to Spaghetti! Oops...FYI, my favorite food is Spaghetti...yum-yum!! I really love it.

And so, when we went to grocery together with my mom, I decided to cook Macaroni pasta!

Cooking An Italian Sauce...Wow!

Here You Go...Yum-Yum...So Cheesy!!

This was an Italian style macaroni spaghetti! I really choose the Italian sauce to make a different in our cravings! With hotdogs, ground pork, and cheesy cheese...my favorite recipe was so successful!

It was indeed another great recipe of mine! I like the Italian sauce...it was sour and really yummy!

My mom and my younger brother tasted and eat a lot of my recipe! They loved what I cooked! Great!

Oh, how about you!? I forgot to give you some free taste of my recipe...so sorry for that! But I have here some of my crafts! Here were some of my outcome! Imagine you were tasting some! Feel free to give comments afterwards!! c",)
