A Trip to Hell!

Last year, I've shared with you a post regarding my day to day MRT struggle! What's new?! Still the struggle continues and challenges risen up. I don't know where these people came from making all the sides of MRT entrance full!

Well, if you think I'm only creating a fictional story or making excuses, think twice and put yourself in my shoes even for once! Last week while having my camera on my bag (since I'll use it in my event after work), I took some photos of a very hassle trip starting from the MRT until the bus station.

Check these out:

These everyday scenario truly makes me angry! My fresh look eventually turns into a haggard feel. "Kaya pagdating ko sa opis, ang init na ng ulo ko! Gudluck sa masisigawan ko!" Hehehe...

Why did you try this trip even for one day and let me know what you feel! Big good luck! (RCB)

My ISTQB Certification!

November 21, 2012 - Yes, it's exactly one year now since I had my first day here in my new office. I am now celebrating my one year anniversary!

Since November is my anniversary month, I've started to share with you some of my company stories. The latest was during our Halloween Trick or Treat.

One of the significant things that I have acquired here in my company is the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board) Certification. I've passed the said prestige International Board Examination for Software Engineering last September and I've received the formal certificate last month.

Two months ago, I've shared with you my passing moment as well as the reviews I had undergone. Now, let me share with you the sweet fruit of success, my actual certificate!

A Surprising Envelope Mailed in My Office

A Letter from ISTQB Containing the Details of My Certification

And This is My Precious ISTQB Certification!
The official certificate printed in hard board was mailed in our office. I got curious when the receptionist gave it to me since there's no address outside the brown envelope. And when I opened it, smile reflected on my face!

I produced copies of my certification as well as the official letter. Then I kept the original copies inside my treasure box! :)

Now I am proud to say that I am an International Software Engineer certified! Hope I've inspired you with my quick company story! (RCB)

Our 2012 Company Halloween Trick or Treat!

On the last day of October, our company had its annual "Halloween Trick or Treat." Yup, this is the day where the employees can bring their children dressed in costume in the office and enjoy the "Trick or Treat."

Aside from the children's "Trick or Treat" and the best in costume contest for the kids, we even had the so-called 'Decorate Your Area" contest. This is a team competition of the best dressed area. The theme or motif is up for the team.

And here how our office looks like during the event. Four teams battled for the best decorated area! I arranged them according to the contest's official result:

1st Prize - "Pirates of the Caribbean"

2nd Prize - "Willie Wonca and the Chocolate Factory"

3rd Prize - "The Cemetery"

4th Prize - "Pixar"
Our team got the second prize. Yeah, our decoration is inspired by the "Willie Wonca and the Chocolate Factory." One of our teammates was dressed as Willie Wonca. I'll share oir photos in my next post. We even wore green wigs to complete the cast.

Aside from that, we even up a chocolate fountain and a cupcake stand. You will those on my next succeeding posts.

Of the four themes, which do you like best?! (RCB)

Enough is Enough for ISTQB Review!

Imagine these bulk of papers I'm reviewing for the ISTQB Certification exam! Yup, I read these reviewer printouts to pass the examination! And thanks God I did it!

Last Monday, September 10, 2012, we took the said certification exam in Amorosolo, Makati City. The four of us who were wearing red all passed the exam! We were all nervous before going to the examination place but suddenly turns all happy as we leaved the place!

Before I took the exam, I had a one week preparation. But it was on weekend when I had a full blast of review. I read all these printouts, study the principles stated, and answered the 500 ISTQB questions! I even got lack of time blogging because I was occupied by reviews.

I was so thankful now that I already passed one of the most difficult board exams I took. I am now waiting for our certification to be awarded on us 6 to 8 weeks from now.

Many thanks also to my company who shouldered the expenses for this international board exam. The amount of the examination worth $170 or more or less Php8,000.

Now I have the guts of training my co-workers since I am now a Certified Software Test Engineer! Great!

I kept all those reviewers in proper place. I cherished them more now that I passed the exam. Some other days, I may use them. c",)
