Rocky and the Chippendales!

Level-up! I now goes international meeting different international celebrities! Oh yeah!

One week after I met the cast members of the hit US musical TV series GLEE namely Becca, Melissa, Jacob,  and Dean,  I met and mingled with the hottest international hunk boy group, the Chippendales!

The Chippendales is actually a touring dance troupe best known for its male erotic dancing (striptease) performances and for its dancers' distinctive upper body costume of a bow tie and shirt cuffs worn on an otherwise bare torso. They were similar to Magic Mike.

Last week, they visited the country to perform series of performance in Manila and in Cebu. But prior to their shows, we met them in a grand presscon held in the Mariot Hotel, Pasay City.

We even watched their actual performance in Resorts World one rainy Tuesday night! :)

Meeting the Girls of GLEE Becca Tobin and Melissa Benoist!

Becca Tobin and Melissa Benoist are two of the newest cast members of the hit US musical TV series GLEE. And these two gorgeous girls together with their male counterparts just recently visited the Philippines! And I'm very glad that I met and talked with them in person! :)

Becca plays the character of Kitty Wilde while Melissa takes the role of Marley Rose in the said TV series.   

Because of their popularity, the two together with the other two male casts Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist became the newest endorsers of the Coca-Cola brand Coke. They visited the country for the said endorsement as well as to greet the Pinoy fans. 

 

Glad that I got invited in the grand presscon of these new GLEE cast members one Friday afternoon, June 7, 2014 held at The Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City.

After the presscon, I got a chance to personally talk and mingle with them. And they were truly friendly and approachable. They love to share their experience both in the US and here in the Philippines.

Charice Rocks!

The International Singing Sensation Charice is currently a trending topic in the world wide web. It's not because she has a new album or she has an international appearance. Rather because of her honestly in coming out of the closet! 

In the recent episode (June 2, 2013) episode of The Buzz, Charice admitted in the national TV that she is a lesbian! "Ako po ay Tomboy," the words that shocked the Philippine TV at the same time, cleared out the issues against her gender.  

But instead of receiving criticism, this revelation of Charice via one-on-one exclusive interview with Tito Boy Abunda garnered praise, applause, admiration, and positive reactions from the netizens.

After this controversial revelation, two days later, Tuesday night at the URBN Bar and Kitchen, I met in person Charice during the grand presscon of 2013 Yahoo OMG Awards.

I see the happiness in the face of Charice. She is more comfortable now. It seems that, "para s'yang nabunutan ng tinik sa dibdib." She even graced photos for the fans which made the other side of the resto-bar ala Charice Pictorial Session! "Talagang pinilahan siya!" 

We may recall that before her great revelation, Charice is a topic of the internet receiving different bashes and a victim of cyber bullying. But after the Sunday episode of The Buzz where she admitted her real personality, the world change to her! She is now the idol of many, the subject of admiration! Everybody is now saluting this artist! Of course count me in Charice, I'm one of the many who is saluting and admiring you!

Two thumbs up Charice for your honesty! You really deserve respect from the people around you! Charice truly rocks! (RCB)  

Angeline Quinto Shares the Challenges of her Character in 'Kahit Konting Pagtingin!'

The so-called "Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs" now leads her very own teleserye! Angeline Quinto stars in her debut teleserye entitled "Kahit Konting Pagtingin."

After talking with her leading men Sam Milby and Paulo Avelino, the camera now rolls to the leading lady Ms. Angeline Quinto. Just like Sam and Paulo, we talked about her character in the teleserye.  

Angeline is playing the character of Aurora. She is a bus conductress who is determined to do everything for her family and to reach her goal. 

Meeting the Now Called "Teleserye Darling!"

Unlike in real life, Angeline is not singing in the TV series. But her loud voice will be heard in the bus being a lady conductor. But comparing Angeline and Aurora, they have their commonalities. "Pareho po kami ni Aurora na nangarap at patuloy na tinutupad ang aming mga pangarap," Angeline shared. Both of them were working hard to achieve their dreams.

This is actually my third meetup with Angeline after her first movie "Born to Love You" with Coco Martin and after her performance in an awards night.

When members of the press asked Angeline if how she got these blessings, she said: "Nakukuha po 'yan sa dasal. Ipinagdasal ko pong lahat ito, lahat ng mga biyayang natatanggap ko." It's such a very inspiring story!

Sam Milby Talks About His Character in 'Kahit Konting Pagtingin!'

Sam Milby came in the videoke-comedy bar themed grand presscon of their newest teleserye "Kahit Konting Pagtingin" in a nerdy-intelligent look wearing an eyeglass. This quite depicted his character in the newest kilig-teleserye of the Kapamilya network.

Sam is playing the character of Adam Ledesma. He is the brother of Lance, the character of Paulo Avelino.

In my interview with the country's so-called "rock-coustic heartthrob," Sam described the character of Adam.

Adam belongs to a rich family owning the chain of hotels in resorts. He is workaholic, perfectionist, and striving for the best.

Because of his attitude giving more importance to work, Adam is not close with anybody. Even his own employees were not actually at ease with him!

Sam even gave a glimpse to watch in the teleserye. This is about how his character will change from the usually 'terror' boss to a loving kindhearted man. And that will depend on the character of Aurora played by his new leading lady, Angeline Quinto. 

Yes, in real life, Sam is actually opposite of his character in the series. He is kind, gently, friendly, and approachable! No wonder why many fans during that night want to take photos together with him. And he truly accommodated them all! He even patiently answered the simultaneous questions from the members of the press and media.  

Before gracing the night's event, Sam serenaded us with his very own version of The Calling's "Wherever You Will Go," one of the songs which became a theme song of my love story way back in 2004.

This TV series is actually Sam's first project for 2013. After this romance-comedy teleserye, get ready to see Sam in a more dramatic role pairing him with the "Teleserye Queen" Judy Ann Santos for "Against All Odds."

"Kahit Konting Pagtingin" premieres this Monday, January 28, 2013 in ABS-CBN's top-rating Primetime Bida. It replaces "Aryana" which is now on its last week. Nice meeting you again Sam! Two thumbs up and more power! (RCB)

Rocky and Cesar Montano Share Hosting Skills in a Video!

Cesar Montano was hailed as the Best Supporting Actor in the recently concluded 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival. He played Gat Andres Bonifacio in the historical film "El Presidente."

It was such a great privilege to meet in person Cesar during the grand presscon of his movie "Biktima" pairing him with Ms. Angel Aquino and Mercedes Cabral. 

In the presscon, Cesar shared to us how challenging his character in the movie. He even gave a glimpse on the things to watch out on the movie. 

Aside from that, Cesar and I shared hosting moment in a video. If you can recall, Cesar Montano is also a great host. Remember how he handled "The Singing Bee" before in ABS-CBN Channel 2 and "Artista Academy" in TV5?!

My Interview with Thai Heartthrob Mario Maurer!

Two months ago, I was able to talk and interview the Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer during the promo of his very first Filipino movie, "Suddenly It's Magic" pairing him with the young actress Erich Gonzales.  

The first time that I talked with Mario was during the Media Conference of their movie. But during that time, he was in Thailand so the interviewed was conducted via Skype. Then the second time that I talked with him was during the grand presscon of his movie where he arrived in the country to promote their movie.

Meeting this one of the hottest international stars Mario Maurer is one of the highlights of my 2012 achievement. One of the things I should thank for this year!
