An Interview with Mike Templo!

I finally met in person one of my favorite news anchors Atty. Mike Templo. Mike is actually a former anchor of ABS-CBN's ANC.  Then he transferred to TV5 and anchored their weeknights' news program "Pilipinas Aksyon" where he became more popular. Now, he is the newest Kapuso broadcaster hosting the newest GMA News TV's "Boarding Pass!'

"Boarding Pass" is actually a news and public affairs TV program which aims to help the OFW abroad. It will feature different life stories of the Filipinos abroad at the same time aid in resolving the overseas issues.

I got a privilege to have a one-on-one interview with Atty. Mike. In the said interview, we discuss his new program as well as the OFW issues that it will address. Here is my interview video:

Atty. Mike also revealed that he became an OFW for a number of years. While being an OFW, he himself experienced the actual lives of Filipinos abroad.

"Boarding Pass" just premiered on January 25, 2014 in GMA News TV. On the said pilot episode, he was joined by the novelty singer 'Dapalong.' (RCB)

A Pose with Jessica Soho!

Last month, I posted here my photo with the ABS-CBN news anchor Ms. Korina Sanchez. This time, I'll share with you another photo of a news anchor now from the Kapuso side. She's no other than, Ms. Jessica Soho.

Check out our photo together with Jessica taken in the main building of GMA-7:

Yes, I admit, I love to watch Jessica's magazine show in GMA-7 called "Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho." It has a unique and light attack to the current trends and interesting stories. Therefore, I'm so glad to see in person the woman behind it, the Kapuso network's one of the top News Anchor Jessica Soho!

Our photo seems like a stolen shot. But still, it was a great experience to meet and talk with her in person! (RCB)

With Rhea Santos and Ivan Mayrina - My First Celebrity Photo in the Digicam!

In my recent post, I have mentioned about my very first celebrity photo using the digital camera. As promised, I'll shared it with you.

Yes, the photo above was my very first photo together with the celebrities taken using the digital camera. I was together with the two GMA-7 news anchors Rhea Santos and Ivan Mayrina. That was taken way back in 2004 during my college days in one of the events I've attended for the journalists.

I already have photos before with the stars prior to this one during my high school days but taken via analogue camera, the one which uses film. This photo was then remarkable since this was my very first photo with the celebrities taken using the newly launched digicam and was uploaded in the previous hit social networking site Friendster.

I was then thin during that time but still a photogenic student. I was the Managing Editor of our official student publication during those days.

This photo also reminds me of my successful college life, me being a student achiever in different fields. Things which I will truly cherish on forever...! (RCB)

A Taxi Modus Operandi!

Different incidents of taxi robbery, holdap, and molestation headlined the news within the past few days.

Below is a post now circulating on Facebook. It was shared by many of my friends to keep us aware of the things happening around us specially those who always ride on cab or taxi as a means of transportation. Let me also share with you the same story. Here it goes:

REPOSTING: Just want to share this ordeal that happened to a friend last Friday. She was held up at The Fort, where all her belongings were taken away from her—laptop, wallet, ATM cards, IDs, even her books. She decided to board a cab just to go home, but turns out it is also part of the modus operandi. Two men immediately got in and covered her face with a black cloth. They forced her to give them the PINs of her ATMs. After they withdrew all her money, they tried to grope her, and hit her head and body several times when she resisted. They eventually stopped when they sensed that she will not give in. After a long cab ride, they dropped her off, after threatening not to scream else they will shoot her. From The Fort, they took her to Cubao. With the help of a jeepney driver and his wife, she was able to report the incident to the police. Apparently, this incident happened twice already. Only she was lucky
because the two other victims were not only robbed, but raped.

It might sound unbelievable, but this actually happened, and can happen to your loved ones, friends, family. No one deserves to go through this ordeal. Be vigilant and as much as possible, do not go out on your own late at night.
This is the taxi that was part of the modus operandi: CELYNN plate number UVY 636

And if it’s not too much to ask, please reblog.
Please watch out for CELYNN taxi plate number UVY 636. If you see it, please report to the authorities immediately.
