Taking A New Leadership Training

Every other year in my professional career as a Software QA Engineer, I always ensure that I took certifications in line with my profession. In 2012, I have passed the International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) while last 2014, I got my Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.

Since I already had those two major certifications significant in my chosen profession, this year my plan is to take new trainings for the meantime while thinking for a new certification / title to get. And one of these trainings is a leadership training dubbed as "Getting Ready to Lead."

This was not my first time to attend a leadership training like this since in my previous company, I already had a similar training.

I will not post the whole details of the training but in a nutshell, this training prepared us to be more competitive leaders in the upcoming projects to handle.

My Professional Scrum Master Certification

It was already more than one year ago when I got my second professional certification in the field of Software Testing. This is the Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

Here is my said certification which strengthens my professional career:

My first certification in my field is the International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) which I got last 2012. 

Now that I have PSM and ISTQB which are both international certifications, the question goes, what other certification do I need to take in my field of software testing and engineering?! (RCB)

My ISTQB Certification!

 

 November 21, 2012 - Yes, it's exactly one year now since I had my first day here in my new office. I am now celebrating my one year anniversary! 

Since November is my anniversary month, I've started to share with you some of my company stories. The latest was during our Halloween Trick or Treat.

One of the significant things that I have acquired here in my company is the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board) Certification. I've passed the said prestige International Board Examination for Software Engineering last September and I've received the formal certificate last month.

Two months ago, I've shared with you my passing moment as well as the reviews I had undergone. Now, let me share with you the sweet fruit of success, my actual certificate!

A Surprising Envelope Mailed in My Office

 And This is My Precious ISTQB Certification!

The official certificate printed in hard board was mailed in our office. I got curious when the receptionist gave it to me since there's no address outside the brown envelope. And when I opened it, smile reflected on my face!

I produced copies of my certification as well as the official letter. Then I kept the original copies inside my treasure box! :)

Now I am proud to say that I am an International Software Engineer certified! Hope I've inspired you with my quick company story! (RCB)
