Love Story Four Times!

I've just posted in my official Instagram account (@rockenroll_04) a new bitstrips comic cartoon featuring yours truly. It's inline with the current celebration, the Valentines day.

Here is the said photo:

In the said cartoon, there are four hearts who were lifting me up. The first one, the higher one is the biggest while the fourth is the smallest. Now my question goes, what does these four hearts represent?! Any guest?!

OK, I will reveal! Yes, the four hearts represent my four love interests in my current love story! The biggest of the four is of course the lead cast, my main ka-love team! The three then were just the supporting characters! They will keep my love life with the lead cast intact and stronger! It's just saying I'm the main actor with four ka-love team! Hahaha!

Ranking them in my heart, definitely here is my list (with the biggest heart on top using 'codenames'):

1. 'My Real Love'
2. 'The Replacement'
3. 'The Lookalike'
4. 'The Props'

Yes, these four characters now comprised the Season 2 of my current lovelife! As they say, it's the Season 2 of the Season 3! Get it?! Just read between the lines! Hehehe... (RCB)

A Wedding Message

My college 'sidekick' (as we termed our friendship since ako 'ung bida at siya ung girl sidekick ko) just got married last January 25, 2014 at the beautiful vintage church of Nuestra Senora De Gracia in Guadalupe, Makati City. Their wedding was one of the coolest, happiest, and most creative wedding I have attended.  My friend Marfe and her now hubby Richmond complemented one another. They were really perfect match during that very special day.

It seems napahaba masyado ung wedding message ko to my friend in Facebook. Parang pang-blog post na. Therefore as many requested, here na, ipo-post ko na dito sa aking personal blog site so that my avid readers can even read and know some of our moments together with my kwelang sidekick. Here's my wedding message:

 Dear Marfe,

First of all, Congratulations for your very beautiful wedding! Very creative ha! With matching sunglasses pa! San ka pa?! It reflects you and Richmond C. Mallari's personality! Yeah, bagay na bagay talaga kayong dalawa, parehong kwela, parehong kalog, parehong makulit, both comedians, perfect match as they say! Hmmm...hope makahanap din ako ng perfect match ko in due time!

Your wedding also served as our reunion with college classmates and Artisan friends. Ang galing mo ha, napagsama mo uli si Amor Powers at Madam Claudia! Or should I say si Marian Rivera at Angel Locsin! Pero sayang wala si Anne Curtis! Hehehe  Breaking record ka talaga Rhodora X! Another best moments!

Remember one morning after namin bumalik from Tagaytay, iniyakan kita kase nag-away kami ni "Aviona." At the same time, umiiyak ka din kase wala pa kayong project sa Antenna!

And one more thing, I love your initial ni bayaw Richmond ha, "RM" - "Richmond and Marfe" or should I say "Rocky and M." (di ko na buuin ha...hehehe)?!

Again congratulations and best wishes to both of you!

Hehehe.. #flirtmode.

Puro kasalan ako this weekend. Last Saturday 'ung kasal niyo, after that, we watched "Bride for Rent" on Sunday! Hayz, gusto ko na tuloy ikasal! ;(

O siya, pang-blog post na ito! Stay cool and happy new couple! Keep the vow of forever.

P.S.
Hihihi...

Nagmamahal,
Kuya Rocky

Since green is her favorite color and green is the motif of her wedding, I tainted the writings in green! Yan ha, malakas ka talaga sa'kin...!

After this wedding, ready na naman sa new event. Hahaha!  And of course, all of you are invited! After that, baptismal  na ng ating mga babies...!

Once more, congrats RM (Richmond and Marfe)! Our friendship reigns until the end... (RCB)

Movie Review: 'Bride for Rent' Combines Romance, 'Kilig,' and Family Values!

"Isn't it Exciting?" ... Yes it's exciting!
"Isn't it Amazing?" ... Yes it's amazing!
"Isn't  it Surprising?" ... Yes it's surprising!

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim created another record, this time in the blockbuster hit! Their movie "Bride for Rent" is undeniably one of the greatest movies Star Cinema had produced. And yes, this rom-com film is another candidate to be the next highest grossing Pinoy movie of all time!

I got curious why this movie received many positive feedback from the viewers and from the netizens. So, I decided to watch the film and found the reasons why.

At first, I thought that this movie is another ordinary romance-comedy flick that only aims to spread 'kilig' to the audience. But definitely, it's not! One of the noticeably good features of this movie is that, it is full of family values and moral lessons!

First, it emphasized the importance of marriage. In our current generation, we are exposed to the different movies and TV series tackling 'kabit,'  mistress, or third party. But this film broke the trends! It gave inspiration to married couples and inspired the future grooms and brides to the importance of marriage vows. I love the part how the film inserted interviews of real-life couples sharing inspirational stories about their weddings!

Second, it paid attention to the importance of family in our lives. Kim and Xian who were playing Rocky and Rocco in the film came from two different families with two different statues. Rocky was the breadwinner of their family. She didn't afraid to take different challenges just to help her family. On the other way around, Rocco is raised as a rich kid. But even though he's full of wealth, he's unhappy because of his issue with his father (played by Tirso Cruz III). But in the end, Rocco resolved the conflict with his father and open a happy relationship with him.

The love team KimXi once more didn't failed us to give different 'kilig' moments. Kim and Xian compromise one another. They were truly a perfect match in the movie. Watching them together in this film seems like watching an Asianovela. The complete ingredients everyone is looking for in our favorite Koreanovela were all there in the tandem of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim!

Here is the full trailer of "Bride for Rent:"

My favorite part in this movie is the scene where Rocky fantasized that Rocco is kissing her. While Rocky is instructing Rocco to do more household chores in the kitchen, Rocco came wet and hot looking at her (while the movie's theme song "Chinito" was playing as the background music) then kissed her! "Sobrang nakakakilig ang eksenang iyon!"

In terms of acting, I can say that Kim is "lalong gumagaling!" She is perfect and a very good actress in playing 'kwela' roles. "Magaan panuorin, hindi masyadong madrama!" But of course she can play heavy drama as well as proven by her previous movies and TV series. On the other hand, Xian is too hot to handle in this movie. He can effectively portray his spoiled-brad character in the story. I love how he dressed up in this film!

What captivates my heart in this movie?! Well, its theme song! The song "Chinito" popularized by Ms, Yeng Constantino which is the movie's OST is also my theme song of my current love life! "Kaya relate much ako dito" adding the fact that Kim's character as Rocky is also my real name! "Saan ka pa!"

Here is the cool music video of "Chinito" with romantic clips from the movie:

Some of the memorable lines from this movie which registered in my mind are the following:

"The Person You Love Most is the Person Who Hurts You Most"
 - Lala (Pilita Corales)

"You Are a Good Person if You Can Say Sorry..."
- Rocky (Kim Chiu)

After watching this movie, it feels like "gusto ko na ring mag-asawa!" I love the story, I love the plot, I love the values, I love the characters, I love the theme song...ang galing ng Star Cinema! Kudos!

Ms. Mae Czarina Cruz, the director of the movies like "24/7 in Love" and "She's the One" is also the lady behind this film! Congrat direk for another successful movie! Looking forward for your new masterpiece as well as KimXi's third movie together! Two thumbs up guys! (RCB)

Happy Chinese New Year 2014!

The year of the Wooden Horse has just been started. We are now officially starting 2014 as the Chinese New Year commenced. Since I'm Chinito with a 1/4 Chinese blood, I'm with our fellow Chinese and Chinoys celebrating the new year of the Lunar Calendar.

Well inline with the celebration, here are some of my comics moments created through bitstrips emphasizing the Chinese New Year! Let also our comic versions serve as our greetings to all of you. Here we are:

Let me also share with you a little bit trivia about Chinese New Year. Do you know that the greeting "Kung Hei Fat Choi" didn't mean "Happy New Year?!" Yes instead, it means "Congratulations, Sana Yumaman Ka!" Wow, that sounds more amazing and exciting! :)

So let's enjoy the new year and let me greet you, "Kung Hei Fat Choi!" (RCB)

February 2014: "Love and Life Collide"

The second month of the year begins! And the beginning of this month is also the beginning of the Lunar Calendar where we celebrated the Chinese New Year.

We all know that February is the month of the hearts. But what if you're a brokenhearted?! On the other hand, the said month is also the start of the year of the Wooden Horse, the Chinese Horoscope many of us keep on believing with. But what if this year is not a lucky year for you?!

This February, love and life will collide. Though not in a right mood to discuss good things because of uncertainty, I'll still share with you good things about my events, happenings, and personal matters. More movie review, more celebrity encounters, interesting photos and videos will still be up for grabs!

Love, health, wealth, happiness, and prosperity...looking forward for these things in this most challenging year for me! (RCB)
