Keeping Our Pets Safe This New Year's Eve!

Pets were like human, they can feel the stress specially in the noisy times like this! Yes, pets can be traumatic when they hear noise and loud sounds from fire crackers.

I witnessed myself how my cute pet cat Macmac becomes so traumatic this night. Since many were now blasting firecrackers and making noise, I can feel his stress! He hides inside a small place like under my bed or in-between my cabinets or laptop table. He's so tame and too slow to move. He didn't even eat! He's so quiet and never even make 'meow!; I can feel his heart beating faster!

In times like this, we should take good care of our pets. Calm them. Let's put them in a place where less noise were heard. Comfort them!

In our case, we comfort Macmac! My brother sleeps beside him! We put him beside our soft pillow. Macmac is currently sleeping sound right now!

In making noise, let's also consider our pets! Now that we have our own pet Macmac, we are sympathizing them. We're concern about their feelings!

Pets are also friends and companions! Let's keep them! Let's take good care of them!
 Happy New Year Everyone! (RCB)

New Year Beliefs and Superstitions!

Hours to go and we will embracing the coming of another year. And during these times, different beliefs and superstitions were practiced by our family.

I really grew up with these beliefs every new year. And we follow these Filipino new year's practice to push away 'malas' and let the 'swerte' come in!

I list down some of the "Pinoy Pamahiin" every new year. Which of these do you follow and which are not?! I list them down in Filipino dialect:

1. Pagsusuot ng Polka Dots (my mom does).

2. Pagpapaputok (a big NO! But a big YES after new year or in ordinary times)!

3. Pag-kumpleto sa isang-dosenang prutas (a big quest to all of us to complete).

4. Pagpapagulong ng mga bilog na prutas (we laughed every time my mom does).

5. Pagsasabog ng mga barya sa lahat ng sulok ng bahay (then my brother steal it afterwards).

6.  Pagpapa-apaw ng tubig sa balde (I wonder how much water was lost).

7. Pagtalon habang nagpapalit ang taon (well, it's not anymore applicable in my case).

8. Paglalagay ng bills sa wallet (I did even not in New Year).

9. Paghahanda ng marami sa hapag (we always do even not in New Year).

10. Pag-iingay ng todo in any means ( radio and kaldero will do)!

And of course, we stay in our home in welcoming the new year!

These are some of those practices I knew. What else can you add?! Do you also believe in those things listed?!

Preparing Desserts for the New Year's Eve!

2013 is fast approaching! Everyone is really busy preparing for foods or collecting fireworks or firecrackers to welcome the new year's eve!

Last night, we start preparing desserts for Media Noche. And I'll let you see our messy kitchen during the dessert preparation. Here are some of the photos:

Mixing Buko Salad Delights!

Feeling Expert sa Dessert with Graham Crackers!
We already bought a roll of Ube-Macapuno Cake and ice cream for the 12 Midnight's Dessert. But of course, the Media Noche dessert seems incomplete without the famous Buko Salad and Graham Home Made Frozen Cakes!

For the Graham, we made two flavors - the fabulous mango and the creamy buko! I've checked them in our freezer and they were all ready!

I'll update you guys with our other foods for tonight. For now, I'll go with my family to church to thank the Lord for all the blessings He gave for 2012! (RCB)

My Long Hair Photos!

If you can't still get enough of my look in long hair, well I have two more photos to share!

Check out two more photos of me in my long curly hair:

This was right after our 2012 Company Christmas Party with a theme of "Black and White Masquerade Ball." It was taken in one of the prestige Coffee Shop.

Many said, "Bagay Sa'yo!" The long curly hair fitted me! Some says I look like an action star just like Jeric Raval! Other says, I look more as a Mexiconovela star like Mario Cimaro of "Passion De Amor" and "El Cuerpo (Body of Desire)"

How about you, what can you say about me appearing in long curly hair?! Do you like more seeing me in this kind of look?! (RCB)

The F4 Christmas!

As part of our yearly presentation every Christmas season here in our company, our team created a video presentation following the theme of "Christmas with Music Icons."

In our video, we combined the hottest music icons like Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Wonder Girl, Masculados, Pussycat Dolls, and F4. And I belong to the F4 group wherein we portrayed these legendary Asinovela boys performing their hit "Can't Loose You."

I won't share you for now our team's video presentation which made us grabbed the Second Prize awards during the actual competition. But, I'll share with you some of our behind the scene photos! Here they are:

Reliving the "Meteor Garden" Fever!

Do You Still Remember this Scene?!

 The New F4!

Making You Feel the Real Spirit of Christmas!
If Taiwan, China, Japan, and Korea have their own versions of F4 via their "Meteor Garden," "Hana Yori Dango" and "Boys Over Flowers," the Philippines then has its own version, and we are the very own Pinoy version of this hit Asianovela boy group! Convinced?! Definitely!

Happy Holidays everyone! (RCB)

Enchong Dee Talks About His Character in 'The Strangers!'

Enchong Dee is the lead star of the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival horror movie entry, "The Strangers." The movie is one of the two horror flicks in the festival along with "Shake Rattle and Roll 14: The Invasion."

Though I already met before Enchong in "ASAP Rocks" last year, this was the very first time that I talked with him in person and have my solo picture taking with him.

Check out the video clip featuring my short interview with Enchong during the grand presscon of their movie wherein he gave a glimpse about his character:

In the movie, Enchong is playing the character of Dolfo wherein he sported a strange look! His character is really mysterious which will surprise the viewers!

"The Strangers" is Quantum Films, MJM Films, and Star Cinema's official entry to the 2012 MMFF. It is now showing in the different theaters nationwide! (RCB)

Meeting the 'Sosy' Girl Solenn Heussaff!

Solenn Heussaff is one of the four lead stars of the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Sosy Problems."  And I'm so glad to meet her in person during the red carpet premiere of their movie.

In "Sosy Problems," Solenn is playing the character Margaux, the daughter of the former beauty queen played by Ms. Cherrie Gil. She is the best friend of Heart Evangelista who is playing the character of Claudia.

Solenn showed her natural humor in the movie. She made people laugh in her very natural way, in her sexy way! I love the scene where she showcased her gymnastic ability!

Check out my video clip with Solenn wherein she invites you to watch the movie:

Solenn is truly 'sosy' in real life! She is beautiful and sexy in person. And yeah, she is so kind, approachable, and easy to deal with! She is much taller than me! :)

"Sosy Problems" is now hitting the theaters nationwide. This is GMA Films entry to the 2012 MMFF.  The movie gives a new flavor to comedy films. It shades new color to this year's MMFF entries!

 Nice meeting you Solenn! (RCB)

'Sosy Problems' is Not an Ordinary Comedy or Glamour Film!

My Invitation to the Presscon and to the Red Carpet!

The Sosy Girls Inside the Movie House

A Perfect Christmas Treat from GMA Films!
"Sosy Problems" is GMA Films' official entry to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival. It was previously titled as "Conyo Problems" but later on, it was changed to "Sosy Problems." The movie tells the story of the four rich and famous elite ladies play by Rhian Ramos, Heart Evangelista, Bianca King, and Solenn Heussaff.

The movie is light comedy in nature making the season jollier spreading more fun to the whole family.

In the movie, Rhian plays Lizzie, the spoiled-rich daughter of a hotelier who is a self-appointed leader of the Sosy group; Bianca portrays Danielle, the daughter of an ex-politician who is on the brink of being impeached from office; Solenn is Margaux, the daughter of the former beauty queen (Cherrie Gil) and the bestfriend and half sister of Claudia (Heart's character) who is also the daughter of a beauty queen (Agot Isidro). Margaux and Claudia were competing one another from beauty to the only man they see who is Benjo (Aljur Abrenica), an all-around employee at the Polo Club.

Their main problem, however, is that their favorite hangout place, The Polo Club, which reminds them of all the memories of their “firsts” in life – including their first kisses and love affairs – is in danger of being torn down and replaced with a mall that is not so much for the rich and famous: in other words, not a “sosy” mall.

The “sosy” ladies will do everything they can in order to stop the Polo Club owners from pursuing their plans, and they will risk everything -- even their poise and glamour – to achieve their goal.
Check out the full trailer of the movie:

Just like many people think, before watching this movie, I thought that this film is an ordinary comedy flick wrapped in a socialite touch. But it's definitely not!

The movie leaves every viewer a moral lesson in life. Each story of the four 'sosy' ladies tells different values.

The story of  Margaux and Claudia emphasized the true meaning of friendship. Though their mothers were at war because of their daddy, they still manage to be best of friends! But when Banjo came, competition between the two ladies rose.

I love the idea taught by the movie saying, "Ang boyfriend madaling mapalitan at makakahanap ka agad. Pero ang bestfriend, hindi...!"  That's why in the end, Margaux and Claudia didn't sacrifice their friendship for only one man. And they both won in choosing friendship over man when they found out in the end that Banjo is already married!

Bianca King Plays the Sosy Danielle

Rhian Ramos Plays the Sosy Lizzie

Solenn Heussaff Plays the Sosy Margaux

Stage Actor Mickey Bustos Plays an Interesting Character as Denmark
The story of Danielle emphasized acceptance. We really don't need to pretend to be accepted by people. In the movie, Danielle is still pretending to be rich even though her stature is declining just to be part of the 'sosy' girls. But in the end, she is still accepted by her friends no matter what happened in her family!

Danielle's story also tells that love doesn't depends in status in life - no rich and no poor in true love! She still found true love in the person of Santi (Mikael Daez) who accepted her even in the times that she is facing her greatest challenge in life!

And of course, Lizzie's story focused on valuing the good things we have. At first, Lizzie seems not contended even though she already have everything in life. But she learned to value it when she was sent to a province letting her experience living in a simple life!
Overall, the movie teaches us that even though we already have all the richness in the world, we still have to face different challenges and solve problems. Money, fame, and fortune were not exception, all of us have our own problems to solve!
The movie also emphasized the power of Social Media like the Twitter and its influence to the modern society!

And if you think that the movie is targeting only the elite people, well think again! The movie is pro-masses. Every people in the society - yayas, maids, guards, employees, utility personnel, etc. can all  enjoy the movie!

Yes, I truly enjoyed this movie! It relieved all my stress! It's really not an ordinary comedy movie everyone is thinking of. I highly recommend it. Watch it and see to yourself my points. In the end, you will find that this movie is really different!

Two thumbs up to GMA Films for bringing us "Sosy Problems" as one of the flavors of MMFF 2012! Cool! (RCB)

'Shake Rattle and Roll 14' and 'Sosy Problems:' A Back-To-Back Red Carpet Premiere Night!

I was able to watch and attend two of the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entries at the same time! Yup, the two movie entries had their red carpet premiere night at the same time last Saturday, December 21, 2012. The two movies were the Regal Films' horror entry "Shake Rattle and Roll 14: The Invasion"and the GMA Films' comedy flick "Sosy Problem."

The red carpet both took place in SM Megamall at the same time (started at 7pm) but in two different Cinemas - "SSR 14" in Cinema 10 while "Sosy Problems" in Cinema 5

I attended first the red carpet of "SSR" and got my interviews with the lead stars. Afterwards, I went to "Sosy Problems" to watch the start of the movie proper. I took my interviews and picture-taking of the stars at the end of "Sosy Problems." Since "Sosy Problems" ended first, I still got the chance to watch the remaining episodes of "SRR" - the end of Episode 2 (The Lost Command) and whole of Episode 3 (Unwanted).

Yes, "talagang lagare" that night but it was truly a lot of fun! So fulfilling...!

On my next succeeding posts, watch out for my separate reviews for these two 2012 MMFF movies as well as my individual interviews and photos with the lead stars!

The two movies are now starting to hit the theaters nationwide! (RCB)

Lechon De Ulo for Our Noche Buena!

We had just celebrated a joyful Christmas Eve with my family - my mom, my brother, and my aunties and cousins who visited our house. And for our Noche Buena, a big 'Lechon Ulo' was served!

My mother ordered this yummy lechon and put a big apple on its mouth. The pork head lechon became the star of our Noche Buena feast this 2012 Christmas eve.

A Huge Crispy Lechon De Ulo on our Table for Noche Buena!

It was Served Together with a Big Apple on Its Mouth!
Joining this Lechon De Ulo as our foods for this Christmas eve were fried chicken, nilagang pata, pancit bihon, and sandwich with cheese spread. Then for desserts, they were ice cream served in cone and frozen buko salad with iced-cold softdrinks!

These were our simple handa for this most important celebration of the year! We truly enjoyed it!

Our Noche Buena for this year also served as a family reunion. Exchange gift followed completing the night's celebration.

Wishing you all a Merry, Merry Christmas! Let's all Enjoy and Be Thankful to all the Blessings we Received from God! (RCB)

My 2012 Company Christmas Party Attire - Black and White Masquerade Ball Theme!

Once again, I surprised my officemates in my attire in our recently concluded 2012 Company Christmas Party with a theme of "Black and White Masquerade Ball."

On the party, I didn't only wore a mask or came in a black and white costume. Rather, I appeared with my long curly hair!

Check out my outfit on the said prestige event of the year. Here it goes:

My 2012 Company Christmas Party Attire

A Johnny Depp / Zorro / Phantom of the Opera Inspired Costume
Many were thinking and guesting if who I was portraying on that night. Well, my outfit simply portrayed a modern Zorro or a Johnny Depp / Phantom of the Opera Hollywood inspired getup!

The event took place Friday night of December 7, 2012 in the Seventh High Bar in the BGC High Street.

On the Center of Attraction!

The Event Took Place in the Seventh High Club
This was actually my second time to party in Seventh High. Remember last June 2012, I was also there for the Yahoo OMG Awards presscon were I mingled with the different celebrities and personalities!

On my next post, I'll share with you more relating to our yearly Christmas party?! How do you find my look on that said night?! (RCB)

I Received Christmas Cards from Ms. Kris Aquino!

The recently concluded grand presscon of the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Sisterakas" week ago served like a big Christmas party! It's because the lead stars namely Ai Ai Delas Alas, Vice Ganda, and Kris Aquino gave large amount of money raffled in the press and media people present in the event.

Kris and Ai Ai gave Php 200, 000 each while Vice and director Wenn Deramas gave Php 50, 000 which was raffled in the event surprising us!

I was so lucky that night since I won a Php 3, 000 in the raffle plus a Php 1, 000 worth of SM gift certificates from Ms. Kris Aquino. What more, Ms. Kris even gave me a personalized Christmas card designed and signed by her.

The card features a family picture of the Aquino family. Inside it were two other cards which were the picture of the 5 Aquino siblings and the picture of Kris together with her two sons Josh and Bimbi!

Check out those said Christmas cards I personally received from the country's "Queen of All Media" Ms. Kris Aquino. Here they are:

This event which took place last Saturday, December 8, 2012, the day after our company Christmas party was much better and much happier than our company Christmas party since I surprisingly won lots of prizes! Our own Christmas party was so disappointing since I took home nothing but a stress!

That date was also blessed since December 8 was the day of the Immaculate Concepcion!

"Sisterakas" will Definitely be a Huge Hit

It's Nice to be Part of this Movie!

I'm pretty sure that "Sisterakas" will be a huge blockbuster hit this Christmas because of the generosity shown by the lead casts!

Thank you very much Ms. Kris Aquino! God bless and more power to you and to your family! (RCB)

My Interview with Thai Heartthrob Mario Maurer!

Two months ago, I was able to talk and interview the Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer during the promo of his very first Filipino movie, "Suddenly It's Magic" pairing him with the young actress Erich Gonzales.

The first time that I talked with Mario was during the Media Conference of their movie. But during that time, he was in Thailand so the interviewed was conducted via Skype. Then the second time that I talked with him was during the grand presscon of his movie where he arrived in the country to promote their movie.

Here is a portion of my interview with Mario during the said Media Conference:

Meeting this one of the hottest international stars Mario Maurer is one of the highlights of my 2012 achievement. One of the things I should thank for this year!

Looking forward to see again Mario soon! (RCB)

Aljur Abrenica Tells Something About the 'Coffee Prince!'

For the second time around, I got a chance to talk and mingle with the Kapuso hunk actor Aljur Abrenica during the 26TH PMPC Star Awards for TV. I first met Aljur in GMA-7 network months ago.

In our second meeting, he shared something about his character in the recently concluded "Coffee Prince," the Philippine adaptation of the hit Koreanovela. In that time, his TV series with his onscreen partner Kris Bernal was already in its last week.

Here is my video together with Aljur. Let's watch this:

Aljur performed a special dance number during the awards night together with the other young actors namely Mark Herras, Gab Valenciano, and Rodjun Cruz.

Aljur even promoted my websites before the end of our conversion.

In my previous post, I already shared with you my video and photos with Aljur's younger brother Vin Abrenica during his "Artista Academy" days! Nice meeting the two Abrenica brothers! (RCB)

12.12.12

Today is December 12, 2012 or 12/12/12 or 12.12.12 or 12-12-12 or simply "Triple 12!" This day will gonna be the last date in the calendar to have a triple number date! From 01.01.01 (January 01, 2001) to 12.12.12 (December 12, 2012), we already navigated the 12 dates in the calendar having triple numbers!

For many of us, they believe that 12.12.12 is another lucky date! Therefore many scheduled their wedding or any important events to fall on  this date. Others even schedule the birth of their child to fall in this date. In other countries, concerts or thanks-giving activities were taking place!

But for some people, they still keep believing that 12.12.12 is the end of the world! They related to this date the Mayan belief that December 21, 2012 is the end of the world. Hmmm...do you still joining them on this belief?!

Talking about my personal experience for 12.12.12, this date is another ordinary day for me - office work, malling, shopping, blogging, and performing my everyday routines. But prior to this day, yesterday night, December 11, 2012, someone inspired me! I bought my laptop cooler because that person inspired me! And today, I'm excited to see that person again! :)

Aside from daily tasks, I have no other things or unusual events happening on this day. Well who knows, maybe a surprise awaits me, we didn't know since 12.12.12 is not yet over!

How about you, can you share with me your thoughts for 12.12.12?! How important this date for you?! Do you think this is a lucky day or another way around?! (RCB)
