"Mara Clara (Susan Africa)" - The 'Waka-Waka' Parody!

Aside from "Dynamite" which Sir Rex Kantatero and Pakito Jones performed using their own version, another hit song which they sang in their morning program "Kamote Club" is the hit song from Shakira!

In Sir Rex Kantatero and Pakito Jones parody, Shakira's "Waka-Waka (This Time for Africa)" is called "Mara Clara (Susan Africa)"! They really created a very good lyrics of it pertaining to the former "Mara Clara" actress Ms. Susan Africa! They sing it the same thing Shakira sang!

Do you want to watch and hear how they did it?! Well, let's sing and dance with the "Waka-Waka" parody called "Mara Clara"! Another nice song!

Another two thumbs up and a well-round of applause for Sir Rex Kantatero and Pakito Jones! They were truly creative! Galing!

Ms. Susan Africa even appreciated this parody about her! She posted a good comment about this one praising these two!

These two DJs truly make 93.9 iFM a very unique FM radio station! They created a difference and a trade mark! Great, great, great!

More parodies to come! Thanks! c",)

"Dumpsite" - The 'Dynamite' Parody!

My favorite FM radio station today is 93.9 iFM! Aside from giving us a combination of modern songs and classic hits, one thing that makes it my favorite is their morning program called "Kamote Club"!

There is a portion in this program wherein they made their own parody of different hit songs. Sir Rex Kantatero and Pakito Jones sing together different parodies! They were truly creative that they can change the lyrics of different songs and can sing it the same thing with the original!

One of the modern song which they created their own version is the Taio Cruz's hit "Dynamite"! In their parody they named it as "Dumpsite"!

Do you want to hear their version of it?! Well, here is their uploaded music video in YouTube. Let's watch and hear how creative Sir Rex and Pakito Jones are:

Hahaha! Very nice! Truly "ang galing nila"! Thanks that they uploaded this video in YouTube! Before, I'm looking if they will launch an album compilation of their song parodies. I'm so thankful that they uploaded some in YouTube!

As I have discussed in my other blog called Rhythm of the Rock, the song "Dynamite" has a sentimental value to me! It's good that Sir Rex and Pakito Jones made a great parody of it!

Nice one Sir Rex and Pakito Jones! Two thumbs up to the two of you! c",)

The Girl Who Made Lady Gaga Cry!

Just recently, another little girl created a big wave in the internet. Another YouTube sensation was born!

She is no other than Maria Aragon, a 10-year-old Canadian-Filipina and is currently based in Winnipeg, Canada. Both of her parents are Filipinos but she was born in Canada!

And why she became famous now?! Well, read this tweet from Lady Gaga:

Lady Gaga's Tweet

She became so popular and is now the current talks of any website after Lady Gaga tweets a YouTube video of Maria’s version of her new song “Born This Way” last February 17. Imagine, a famous artist like Lady Gaga would tweet a YouTube like this appreciating a n unknown little talented Pinay Kid! Wow!

If you didn't yet watched the complete video, here is it:

After the spreading of the said video, Lady Gaga talks with the little girl! And here is their conversation:

Wow, it's really very amazing and inspiring! Just like Charice, Rap Salazar, Arnel Pineda, and other former YouTube sensations who were now very famous artists, this little girl would somehow be as famous as them!

This only proves that nothing is impossible! Everyone of us though unknown by now could instantly become a star like them soon!

Since Lady Gaga has eight million followers, this said video version of Maria spread like a wild fire! In fact, that said video ranks No. 5 in the category Most Viewed (Today) and No.2 in the Most Viewed (Today)-Musicians.

A Lucky Chinese Bamboo Plant!

Aside from collecting different cute angels, another thing that I'm busy with nowadays is raising the so-called Lucky Chinese Bamboo Plants! Are you familiar with it?!

Yup, these pictures above and below show how a lucky Chinese bamboo plant looks like. They are indoor plants which give us good fortune.

They come in different variety. Each number of stems represent a good luck. For instance two pieces means good health, three pieces mean abundance, so on and so forth.

They were even presented in different ways. Here are some:

Using Stones or Magic Jelly

Using Water

Yup since they were indoor plants, you can use either water or magic jelly to raise them. The so-called "Magic Jelly" also varies in color. Each color represents different meaning. Say for instance pink means love, blue for tranquility, and green for health! In my next post, I will share with you how these magic jellies look like and how they work!

In my case, I both use magic jelly and water. Two batches of my plants use water while the other two batches use magic jellies. Of course, I used the pink jelly for love and the green one for good health!

What do think inspires me to raise these type of plants?! Well, just like angels, it's unexpected! Again, while roaming in one of the well-known mall in Makati, I saw these kind of plants. Then out of curiosity, I bought some! I bought 9 pieces of stems. They were divided into three groups placed in three glass bases with magic jelly. Each glass base contains three lucky Chinese bamboos! I used three color of jellies: pink, orange, and violet. Accidentally, the third base containing violet jelly felt and broke! That's why to sustain the three lucky bamboo plants which were supposed to be in the third base, I used water!

On my next posts, I will share with you more stories about my lucky Chinese bamboo plants! I started raising them December last year! c",)

My First Angel!

How many of you believe on the so-called Guardian Angel? Or who among you love angels who were dubbed as the "Messengers of God"?!

Aside from Ms. Angel Locsin whom I love most, nowadays I really hooked with different angels! And angels were my new collection!

Today, I will share with you the start of my collection of angels. This is my very first angel! Take a quick glance on this cute little thing!

Up, Close, and Personal with My First Angel

My First Angel Previously Guarded our PC

What can you say about her?! Yeah, she's very cute and inspiring!

I bought her in Trinoma mall last year. That was the start of my hobby of collecting these cute little things!

It was November 2010, one month after I bought my new laptop. I'm thinking of new things to be placed in my new laptop table. So, I roamed in different malls to look for a perfect thing that will design and will give life to my mini-laptop office!

Unexpectedly, I saw cute beautiful angels! So I bought some! I bought the first four including this one! The first three angels (one big and two tiny twins) were previously placed in my laptop table. And I gave this one to my brother to put in his computer!

This cute little angel is not anymore placed in my brother's PC. Rather, she is now together with the other cute angels who surrounded our Sony Bravia LCD flat screen TV!

Watch out my next succeeding posts 'coz I will let you meet my other cute angels! Have a pleasant day guys! c",)

At Home With Our New Employee Lounge!

On February 11, 2011 the same day of my third year anniversary here in my company, our newly developed and redesigned company pantry was inaugurated and now officially called as "Employee Lounge".

Would you like to see how our employee lounge looks like? Well, here's how:

These were just two of my photos taken in our new pantry/employee lounge. I didn't yet took photos of the whole lounge including the videoke area. Yup, in my next post, I will share with you different photos of our whole employee lounge!

As you can see, the pantry or the employee lounge is now looks like a bar or a coffee shop. The chairs were very luxurious! The area where I'm siting is the side which depicts a coffee shop. It is composed of yellow sofas with glass coffee tables in the middle. The sinks and the drawers for the plates and utensils were even redesigned to make it more elegant!

And our favorite place here in the employee lounge is the videoke room! Yes, there is an enclosed videoke room! This is the place where we hang-out every break time. We enjoy singing different songs in it! I already sang many songs here! On my next post, I will share with you how our luxurious videoke room looks like!

So, consider this only as a teaser of my next exciting posts regarding our elegant employee lounge! Have a good day to everyone! c",)

Symbols of Valentines!

Photobucket
Roses, flowers, cards, chocolates, and stuff toys! Or love, romance, and inspiration! What are the things that truly symbolizes Valentines day?!

I have here an interesting article from funmunch.com which talks about the different symbols that represent the hearts day. Here's how it reads:

No festival or celebration is complete without symbols and Valentine’s Day cannot be an exception. The colors of Valentine’s Days are red, pink and white. Given below the symbols of the season:

* Hearts:

Since the ancient times, hearts signify love and the place of all human emotions. Gifting heart means giving everything a person has selflessly to the person he or she loves.

* Ribbons, Laces and Frills:

They have become a part of love since the time when the knights used to go to the battlefield wearing the scarf or handkerchief presented by his ladylove. During the ancient times usually when a lady wanted to draw the attention of the man, she used to drop her handkerchief.

* Cupid:

Cupid or Eros in Greek was the son of the Roman and Greek goddess of love Venus (Aphrodite in Greek). He is depicted as a chubby, naked winged boy with wings carrying a bow and a quiver with arrows. It is believed that Cupid makes people to fall in love.

* Roses:

Since the ancient times, roses are associated with love. Rearranging the letters for the word ‘Rose’ we get the word ‘Eros’ – the god of love. In a Roman legend, it is said that there was a beautiful girl named Rodanthe who had many suitors. Their ardent love made them to break the doors of her house which made goddess Diana infuriated. She turned Rodanthe into a rose and her suitors into thorns.

The colors of roses also express different sentiments and emotions. For example:

Red: Love, Respect, Beauty and Passion

White: Innocence, Purity, Silence and True Love

Yellow: Friendship, Joy, and Hope

Peach: Admiration, Sympathy and Gratitude

Orange: Fascination and Passionate Thoughts.

* Doves and Love Birds:

It is believed that on 14th February birds choose their mates. Doves and pigeons signify loyalty as they mate with their partners through out their life.

Love Birds are a kind of parrots found in Africa and are always seen in a pair. Hence they signify love.

Hope you enjoy! Happy Hearts day to all! c",)

My 3rd Year in My Company is Also the Opening of our New Employeee Lounge!

February 11, 2011 marks my 3rd year anniversary here in our company!

What a coincidence! That same date is also the launching of our new pantry which is now called as the Employee Lounge! Yup, our pantry was being renovated and re-designed. The new design of our pantry/lounge is patterned to be like a bar and a coffee shop! And there will be a videoke room!

Later this afternoon, our company will have a grand celebration for its opening. The images you are seeing above and below were some of the invitations and teasers of the said grand launch!

The launching and grand opening of our pantry/employee lounge is exactly the same date of my anniversary tenure! It seems that it's a two-in-one celebration! The celebration of the new pantry/lounge is also a celebration of my anniversary. It's like that all the employees in our company or the whole company are also celebrating my 3rd year anniversary!

The opening of our new redesigned and reinvented pantry/lounge is extra-ordinary! There will be a live band that will perform. There is also a bossa nova singer! And there is a free snack! Wow!

But the sad thing is that...I can't attend this one! Yeah because I'm working in a night shift! The launching will be at 3-5pm. My office hour is 10pm-6am! So no way to attend! Hayz...!!! I will miss the foods, the live band, and the program!

Hope that I can attend this! It's really a double celebration in my part! c",)

My First Google Payment for My Blog Ads!

Finally last week, I got my first blog payment from Google Adsense! Yippiee!!! I got the money through Western Union!

Here's the exact amount of my first earning in US dollar as well as the statement of my earnings from Google. I darken some of the important information in the statement of earnings for privacy reasons!

I Received My Payment Through Western Union

My Statement of Earnings

My first total accumulated earnings from all my blog sites is $108.73. When converted to Philippine peso, it becomes Php4,733.11!

Every end of the month, I will be paid by Google for all the Ads posted in my blogs provided that my accumulated earnings reach the minimum amount of $100.00. If my earning in a particular month is less than one hundred US dollar, that said earning will be carry over next month. In my case, those earnings were from last months of 2010. My earnings just speed up when my blog sites like TV Series Craze and The Rock Land become so popular and receive so many hits and visits!

Did you know that I suppose not to receive that said payment?! Yup, it's because I used a different payee name in my adsense account. Instead of "Rocky" as my first name, I used "RQA". And I can't anymore change my payee name! Hayz...can you suggest how can I change my payee name since Google didn't allow me to do so?!

When I'm about to receive that said payment in Western Union Trinoma branch, the teller didn't allow me to get the money since the payee name is different from the IDs I have presented. They instructed me to call the main Western Union branch. Thanks God that in our branch in SM, after further explanation to the teller, I finally got the fruits of all my blog sites! =)

I really inspired with these earnings! Imagine while you are enjoying developing blogs, you are earning at the same time! Nice!

Right now I'm my way of receiving my second Adsense payment. But aside from this, I have also other income generating blogs. Thank you all my dear readers by avidly following and visiting the Rock's Blog Network! Expect to read more and more interesting topics from me! c",)

What Will Rabbit Bring Us This 2011?!

Now it's time for the rabbits! 2011 is the year of the metal rabbit! Just like in every coming of the Chinese New Year, people were depending their lucks on the animals that represent each year.

In this year of the rabbit, what do you expect?! Do you already consult any feng sui expert and hear their thoughts about it?! Or do you believe in things like these?!

Well, I will share with you a good article pertaining to this 2011 year of the rabbit. It reads:

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2011 is the Year of the Golden Rabbit, which begins on February 3, 2011 and ends on January 22, 2012. The Rabbit is the fourth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animals signs. The Rabbit is a lucky sign. Rabbits are private individuals and a bit introverted. People born in the Year of the Rabbit are reasonably friendly individuals who enjoy the company of a group of good friends. They are good teachers, counselors and communicators, but also need their own space.

According to Chinese tradition, the Rabbit brings a year in which you can catch your breath and calm your nerves. It is a time for negotiation. Don't try to force issues, because if you do you will ultimately fail. To gain the greatest benefits from this time, focus on home, family, security, diplomacy, and your relationships with women and children. Make it a goal to create a safe, peaceful lifestyle, so you will be able to calmly deal with any problem that may arise.

Not many people know that the Rabbit is the symbol of the Moon, while the Peacock is the symbol of the Sun, and that together, these two animal signs signify the start of day and night, represent the Yin and Yang of life. It is said that anyone making supplications for wishes to be fulfilled are certain to get what they want... and in the Year of the Rabbit, the wish-granting aspect of the Sun and the Moon combined is multiplied. The Moon is YIN and this is the Yin of Heaven, signifying magic. Thus on each of the Full Moon nights of this year, go out into your garden to gaze into the Full Moon and visualize plenty of Moon dust and Moon glow flowing into you, filling your whole body with bright white light and granting you fearlessness, love and courage. This will not only strengthen your inner "Chi" energy, it will also bring wisdom into your life.
